Can't imagine this deck could be that great without the actual eggs and tendrils. It's a concept that I tinkered around with in casual, and it was pretty effective at the time.
The traditional Eggs(Sunny Side Up) deck won in the exact same manner as this, drawing its deck and recurring Second Sunrise. I would have thought the main piece this deck is missing compared to previous incarnations is Cunning Wish. Having only 4 Second Sunrise is kind of lame. That being said I wouldn't be surprised if this deck steals a PT or GP. If you have the finger on the pulse of the meta and the guts to play it the pay off can be pretty intense(just like original Sunny Side Up).
Only just noticed now that you have a splash of black in your land base. I feel this is being a little greedy. If you played 2 Mogg Fanatic and only have Islands, Mountains, Scalding Tarn and Steams Vents you now lose the ability to play your 2-of black Seer, however, you take. less pain from your lands and it opens up the very powerful sideboard option of Bloodmoon. You can get screwed by drawing both Seers into hand out of your deck, but the chances of that happening are very low. Again I think the benifits outweigh the negatives.
As long as troll/worship is in the format, ill play urchin.
Not only can you play actually cast Mogg Fanatic, but it has incredible utility in that in can kill Bob, Hierarch, Lotus cobra etc. Not to mention, it can block. Worship seems pretty like a weak argument as I doubt its going to be a big time player in this format.
I think this deck is awful, casting and activating Soul Conduit costs a million mana. You invest 6 mana to timewalk your opponent when you cast Conduit. You might catch a few games off a goldfish, but they would be close games. You are playing too few lands
played 10 matches against RDW with my new list without sideboarding (I dont think I would SB anything anyway, RDW included) and the deck won 8-2!
The only games the deck was on the play were after the 2 loses.
Now take it for what its worth but I was impressed.
Also the old ramp package IS the real deal. Sorry fobos but I think its back to heart for you.
T2 heart with a T3 harrow with RG or explore on the end of it ramped us to avenger, titan or SGC T4. Thats too good!
I look forward to bashing and testing today for tomorrows main event.
Wish me the best.
This is hard to believe! Was it bog standard rdw? Players of equal skill?
As your opponent has not spent a card on spreading seas'in your land, answering it without spending a card of your own it good, enter Prism.
Back to Nature may be more versatile, but it doesn't replace itself like prism. When you sideboard it to counter Spreading Seas, most of the time all it will do is counter spreading sea's, which is bad.
Also, you can play prism before they spreading sea's, which is pretty stellar. Back to Nature might not be very good if they don't happen to draw Sea's.
