I've had this FoW in my possession for a while now, and have always questioned whether or not it was real. It appears to have the correct dot pattern (from my understanding of the dot pattern, at least), but it's very... dirty, for lack of a better word. I've taken it to 2 different LGS in my area, neither of which could not say definitively one way or the other. If better/different pictures would help, my all means say so and I can provide them.

Hello all, looking to get into Modern and looking for a deck to play.

Favorite Playstyle: Control. I like being able to prevent my opponent from doing anything
How Competitive: Competitive at SCG events
Favorite Colors: Blue and White. Really don't like Black all that much.
Favorite Cards: Brainstorm (not Modern legal, still a fun card), Path to Exile/Swords to Plowshares, any "counter target spell" or "destroy target land" card
Budget: I'd like to stay around $500, but really my limit is probably closer to $800.
Staples Owned: A couple of the KTK fetch lands, but that's about it

I am looking at either UWR Control or Death and Taxes, but I'm open to any other suggestions as well. If I played Legacy I'd play Miracles most likely, or maybe DnT (hence why I'm intrigued by the modern version of DnT as well). However, I'd like my deck to be competitive at SCG events, as there are a few next year that are close to me.

I live in southeast Houston (Clear Lake area, specifically). I'm getting back into Magic after about a 10 year hiatus and looking to play Modern. Does anyone know of any stores in Houston, preferably in southeast Houston (or Clear Lake/League City area) that hosts frequent modern events?

Hello all! Returning MTG player, last played about 8-9 years ago, and I recently decided to start playing again. Had a nice sliver deck back in the day, might bring that out for some local Legacy tournaments. Glad to be here!
