What is the next best Snapcaster deck besides Twin? I have most of the blue Modern staples but Twin is a poor choice in the local meta since there's so many people playing Jund and Junk.
Hey guys,
What do you think about splashing white for a Rest for the Weary? It's weaker to Atarka's Command then Dragon's Claw is, and it means splashing another color, but in my playtesting against burn it helped a lot. It's interaction with Snapcaster is nuts. Think I'm gonna try putting in a Godless Shrine and taking out my Claws for that.
If you're going for a white splash, I find Lightning Helix a much better inclusion than Rest for the Weary. Lifegain and removal in one card.
I already have him in the sideboard. This is my current list. I just cut Batterskull and put in Cryptic Command, but am not sure if that's the best replacement.
As others have already pointed out, U Tron is a bad match-up. I don't think you can easily change that with some sideboard cards. But maybe you can start by running 4x Tectonic Edge maindeck and then you can try to find some space for more artifact hate in your sideboard and/or Shadow of Doubt.
4 TecEdges in UR Twin? What? :/
Shadow of Doubt is good just for Tron variants, we don't need it at the same level we need the other traditional SB cards.
Anyway, Grixis Delver is advantaged against us, as well as UTron. They're two of the worst MUs at all, tied with Jund/Abzan. Then probably UWR and Scapeshift are hard as well, same goes for Burn.
Okay this is a noob question, but why is UR Twin unfavored vs Tron while Grixis Delver is? Doesn't both share the UR core? Snapcaster Mage, Remand, Lightning Bolt, Electrolyze, etc.
guys, 4 yes 4 people just started playing mono blue tron at my store, any help to deal with it. very annoying to play against, otherwise ill just play burn until they stop playing tron.
EDIT : I don't think grixis delver is a bad matchup, ive played it 6 times and only lost one round to them.
just side out the entire combo. also feels really good if/when they slaughter games you and name twin. reallllyyy good.

Wait I'm confused. Grixis Delver is a bad matchup for Tron or Tron is a bad matchup for Grixis Delver?
I was saying if you decide to do the flip or rip, when you open the booster, look at the bottom 2 cards, which will be the foil and the rare/mythic, to see what they are so if it is something good then you will save it from the flip or rip part.
I also would like to put in a vote for this. Please record it and post the video here.
If I open it I will snap a photo and share what I got.
Check to see if your rare/mythic is good before doing the flip it or rip it. Sure, it takes out a lot of the exciement, but then you'll at least have the knowedge of whether you should keep the rare/mythic, and still have the intensity of wondering if you'll rip a Remand.
Right. When the median rare pull is now down to $1.20 that tells us that WotC really is looking at these like $10 low-payout lottery tickets (seriously, the jackpot on these things is ridiculously small for a $10 lottery ticket) and not something that most people will be happy purchasing. So, for the 68 rares and mythic, Mirran Crusader at $2.33 is the median. Just the rares it goes to Scute Mob at $1.20.
EDIT: Just to be clear, I am not some entitled brat who thinks that the set is bad because WotC owes me something based on my own ideas or value. What I do see is a company that knows its customers are suckers, gambling addicts, and bad at math. They saw an opportunity to print trash, dangle a pot of gold in front of you, but then backload it with trash. Not every card needed to be good, but at $10 there's no excuse for how top loaded this piece of ***** release is. I look at it and I can't even imagine it being fun to draft either. It really just looks like an excuse to reprint tons of expensive cards while masking it as a limited event.
All right, I changed the first two abilities and made the ultimate an emblem.
