Didn't WotC say that they don't wanna make more Merfolk because they feel that creatures that live in water don't really appeal to players? I don't get it.
That was ages ago... Odyssey-era news. Lorwyn should be any indication as to how Wotc sees Merfolk now.
I have been drafting a lot of AVR online and I am wondering which bot is the best to unload my foils and rares? Basically I am looking for the bot with best overall buy prices. Help please guys? Thanks!
Even though Yeva is clearly better, I'd take Flames of the Firebrand. Cuts the players to my left out of red and forces them into green. Should pay dividends in pack 2.

I'm in the process of getting a sealed box of boosters in a trade. Question is, which one would be better to get in the long-term? My choices are Dark Ascension and Avacyn Restored (or hold out for Return to Ravnica).
DKA seems to be the worse in value now, esp compared with AVR. Is it correct to get a box of AVR and crack it for value or to keep it till prices go up (which will take ages). Or should I just hold out for Rav?
Personally, I believe that it will stay around $20-$22 for a little while as the people that want them go ahead and pick them up as they have the funds available to do so. And once that initial rush of demand gets taken care of, the price will inevitably drop. Not to mention the MTGO redemptions will add even more supply to the market thus putting even more downward pressure on the price. I dont see it going much outside of its current $20-$22 range at the moment, and eventually settling between $15-$20. In the end, high demand as it may have, it is a regular rare from a set that is going to be openned a lot, and as a result the supply will inevitably overwhelm demand at the current price and the price will drop. I love the card, dont get me wrong, but even the best of cards, especially when they are high out of the gates (and regular rares), inevitably tend to drop at least some over time.
That is true, but the same could be said about snapcasters, whose price has remained relatively constant.
I don't think it matters... How many playable Merfolk are available in standard after M13?
