I think that you should be able to play cards without paying for them, because otherwise playing cards that cost basically anwhere close to 4 is almost impossible, or make another compromise for that because mana rocks will be super important in general otherwise since they stick while lands do not
Well there's Aether Hub (0 cost) and also Woodweaver's Puzzle (5 mana and one card for 6 E and 6 life), but yeah, this is basically a 0/3 body that gives energy, the effect is there because that's how the cycle works because i don't see many instances where you would like to swing with this AND pay EE for the effect. It will be pretty nice with all the Modules and also maybe with Paradoxical Outcome, we just have to wait to see which are the blue Energy pay-off cards
The fact that Divination is banned but Mind Spring, Twincast or Traumatize aren't tells me a lot about how weird and arbitrary would be to build for this though. Pauper is easy, you just know all the commons are allowed, but in this case, you'd have to check which version of Pacifism isn't considered top tier and is banned and i doubt you have a spare Cowed by Wisdom
I think you're better off building a cube if you want to emphasize low powered, but high skill gameplay rather than going through every set and claiming "You're too good"
Seems like a great idea, specially since it gets along to debating how much of one creature is actually enough and whether you should be dedicating more space to spells or whatever. I'd assume anything that is free or recursive, or both, can be incredibly dangerous. 20 copies of Bloodghasts, Street Wraiths or Vengevines can get silly really quickly, so I would watch out for those.
I'd probably play either Faerie Miscreants, Cloud of Faeries or Noble Hierarch as my helm. The latter feels specially fun, since you get to build a voltron except your generals are just cheering from the sidelines instead of beating face
"Cards that are even marginally good in limited formats are banned."
Well, you lost me there. For me, the fun of casual games is making the best of cards or synergies that are fun, if average, not picking the absolute bottom of the barrel. That's a challenge for the sake of challenge and I doubt anyone that has played with about starter-decks level of power would enjoy having their value commons and uncommons taken away from there because they're "decent"
Plus, it's a logistical nightmare. There is no real strict rule about what makes a card good in limited, plus, stopping "Every blatant 2for1 card" means that things as far back as Unhinge, Zap or Grave Exchange would be banned, none of which are particularly strong cards. I feel like the meta would boil down to arguing whether or not whatever is still the strongest card in your opponent's deck should be baned
This is really weird because it's an enchantment, which you usually want in your discard pile to get Delirium, but you need Delirium to sac it? It's kind of a more expensive Grim Discovery, but it has the benefit of being able to slowly mill you and also likely conserve Delirium
At least the art is dope though, think we can all agree on that
I'm having trouble thinking of a card in recent memory that feels as...mini-game-y as this one. It's such a fun card. And, hey, it still puts the rest in your graveyard, which can be fairly relevant: definitely be an interesting card to roll out in Limited when an Instant would be the third card type in my graveyard, and I know I've still got cards that can hit that fourth type...or when I'm sitting on a Rise from the Tides in a spell-heavy deck and get to play a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" game that my opponent doesn't necessarily know they're playing. It might not be the kind of card that you want if you're playing competitively, but it's definitely the kind of card that can make for some fun stories.
"Strictly more fun Fact or Fiction" seems like a good way to describe it.
Master of Predicaments SHOULD have been that mini-gamey but it was almost always right to just guess "high".
Until you hit them with dat free Down//Dirty and they start to respect your lows. It's basically analogous to overheads in fighting games which in most cases don't lead to such high damage combos as low starters, their value is that they don't expect them. I think that's analogous to this card; your opponent might think making you choose between a face-up Planeswalker and 3 face-down cards will be difficult for you, but when you have a Nahiri's Wrath or a Collective Defiance sitting in the sidelines, that choice is hardly relevant
As a fan of Liar's Pendulum and Master of Predicaments, I like the direction of this card when it comes to mind games, except you're no longer the one playing with the hidden information here, and instead it's your opponent. Normally, I would probably play Weave Fate or Comparative Analysis over this kind of effect but this might be better if you can reuse/profit from cards in your graveyard or if you really feel like you can outplay your opponent's second guessing
It's also really good in multiplayer formats, perhaps better than Fact or Fiction when it come to arranging deals since that opponent can put all the cards face-down, so whatever grim arrangements you made with them will remain hidden
Always Watching is a thing, gives her Vigilance and puts her out of Spatial Contortion range
Both are fairly interesting standalone cards. Bruna has a casting clause so there's no endless reanimation looping shenanigans, but it's still a resilient flying body that can down an Always Watching Ojutai. Gisela is simply an absolute beatdown, which is to be expected
Brisela has a really weird effect. She transforms during the end step, which is probably the perfect time to do so, and by virtue of negating 3-cost cards she (they?) is (are?) technically resilient to a bunch of cards, such as Ruinous Path or Reflector Mage (though the latter can be CoCo'd in)
I think he´s arguing that the greatness of Narset comes from her -2 rather than her +1. Personally, I think Narset is weak in this deck because the only cards you can get Rebound value off are the Wraths and arguably Swords, not to mention you sort of give away what you´re drawing with her. I mean your opponent is likely to know that you have counterspells handy but revealing a Wrath or an Elspeth might make them more wary. Alternatively, not revealing a card (I.E. having a land there) telegraphs that your next topdeck is a relative blank.
I don´t know what to replace her with if to replace her but that´s my viewpoint on the context of this deck

Put target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield under your control, it has Duplicity Rovik trusted nobody, not even himself; there was a good reason for that

Sorcery (U)
The next time a non-token creature you control would enter the battlefield this turn, it gains Duplicity until end of turn

This is.....a very specific subset of deck...cool stuff
I'd have to recall which cards have that kind of glow (only one that comes to mind right now is Exquisite Firecraft and that's an easy one). I think an easy way to go about this is to find a few cards that play along together, you have a couple of Werewolves there that go with the theme, and Huntmaster of the Fells and Mondronen Shaman also play along, though at that point people wouldn't see the orangeness in your cards
I'll try to come up with something because this seems like a fun excercise in deckbuilding
I'm assuming that by a standard deck you mean a 60-card constructed deck rather than the singleton Commander format
It is leagues easier and, in my opinion, more fun to build at 60 card deck, specially if you have a small collection and/or are looking specifically to build a thematic deck. Commander, however, is a vastly more popular format, but it also has a way higher entry floor when it comes to which cards are good in it and even when it comes to mustering enough copies of different cards to have a playable deck. For these reasons I will recommend casual 60-card if you just want to have some good old times with your friends and whatnot

Night´s Whisper/Sign in Blood for card draw
Blackmail/Duress/Brain Maggot are cheap discard options
Desecrator Demon as a cheap threat, Demonic Taskmaster if you´re running few creatures
These are some from the top of my head, maybe i´ll come up with something later
