Interesting that you're playing Winding Way instead of CoCo. Probably not correct. Plargg is an unusual choice too. Especially if you're playing 3 or more copies of EWit, CoCo gets even better.
So I realized that Prosperous Innkeeper might actually be a good addition the deck. 2 mana create a treasure token is strong in decks with 4 mana walkers.
Also the lifegain would be aggro matchups a lot better.
This is what I would start testing, possibly want 22 lands though. Lost my old Shamans list so I’ll have to make the sideboard again another time. Realmwalker is sweet because not only is it a good SHaman, but it is also an Elemental to be fetched with Harbinger if card advantage is needed.
I think my sideboard would be a lot different than the one Caleb has, I had a lot more elemental silver bullets.
I’m unsure about Rix Maadi, I haven’t played it much, but I know Caleb likes it so I would want to test it myself.
Shamans seems like it should be a very strong aggro deck now. While it’s less disruptive than Humans, it’s faster. Also unsure about the new Prodigy, but it might be good as a 1-of.
The fact that he makes CoCo cheaper is huge. It’s just a very strong Gruul card in general and just so happens to be a Shaman. Shamans use to be a fringe pet deck for brewers like us, and Caleb, now a lot of people will be playing it unfortunately. Maybe not.
Yah, being able to untap Nykthos with Arbor is awesome. TAhough it’s kind of risky running 2 copies of ANOTHER legendary land in a deck with a low land count. I usually play 21 lands in my Devotion deck.
This is EXACTLY what Shamans needed! Couldn’t have asked for a better card. I was just wishing a normal Elvish Mystic mana dork with creature type SHaman would be printed, instead we get Noble Hierarch producing JUND colors! Insane.
With the spoiling of Opposition Agent, I immediately saw the awesome potential combo with Maralen of the Mornsong which is already one of my top 5 favorite black creatures every printed, so I decided it would be best to play it in Commander.
With both cards on the bf, you get to search your opponents library from the Maralen trigger and exile a card with Opposition Agent that you can play. This means your opponents can't draw cards and can't tutor with Maralen and you get to steal any card from their deck every turn. It's usually a scoop immediately unless they have something to deal with it in hand or on the board. With all the discard and kill spells in the deck, you should be able to get rid of any interaction though.
I'm new to Commander, but I've been working hard on this deck and I think I've finally come to the final iteration or very close to it.
This deck is meant to be played at a competitive level in 40 life 1v1 Commander. I've been doing pretty well with it so far. Most games I win are ultimately a result of assembling the Maralen plus Agent combo, but you can win other ways if you want. Because it's a black deck, there's a lot of consistency with all the tutors.
Notes:
There are many combos and cool interactions, I'll just list a couple.
Necropotence and Maralen are a nonbo, but Necro is too strong to not include, and you can remove it with Karn Liberated or Scour from Existence if you want to win with the Agent plus Maralen combo.
Emergence Zone is great with Maralen, allowing you to cast her on your opponent's end step, so you get the first trigger.
Well I found myself back to playing a bit of G/r Walker Devotion, and I ended up there in a roundabout way. I had been brewing some Legendary Amber Mox decks, and I added the Legendary Sorceries to some of the more midrange brews. That led me to adding some Walkers to my decks, and then I realized that Jaya's Immolating Inferno would fit perfectly in big mana deck running red, and I ended up with this.
Hey so I was looking up decks with Planebound Accomplice and I see that some people were trying to go infinite with mana producing Walkers, like Chandra, ToD and Garruk Wildspeaker and Cloudstone curio. This reminded me of CurdBros’ lists. Then I thought maybe there’s a green devotion list running accomplice that could be an option. Perhaps just a R/G list.
Haven’t played this deck in a very long time, not since Looting was banned at least, but this list seems great. Probably very close to the optimal list. Seems like quality deckbuilding, though you may want to add a Nurturing Peatland or two, and perhaps some more tutor targets in the sideboard to fetch with Traverse.
I still haven't seen a deck with Vivien, Monster's Advocate which I feel is a very strong Walker. With Courser and fetchlands you can get some insane value from her passive.
I had a Winding Constrictor devotion deck that was good. Mentor is basically the same thing, without the downside of playing against infect, and it allows us to stay away from black which is one of the worst colors for this deck I believe.
Also the lifegain would be aggro matchups a lot better.

// 60 Maindeck

4 Arbor Elf
3 Birds of Paradise

1 Craterhoof Behemoth
1 Hornet Queen
2 Radha, Heart of Keld
2 Radha, Heir to Keld
1 Klothys, God of Destiny
// 8 Enchantment
4 Utopia Sprawl
4 Oath of Nissa
// 21 Land

2 Relic of Progenitus
2 Grafdigger's Cage
2 Klothys, God of Destiny
3 Blood Moon
2 Abrade
2 Ancient Grudge
2 Veil of Summer
Jaya's Inferno is a super strong card, it can easily be a 3 for 1, killing creatures and walkers, and it can just Fireball to face for a ton.
Kinnan seems like he could go in some dork heavy list.
What's your current Fiend Artisan list?
