Apr 11, 2017Kajarak32 posted a message on MTG Salvation Deck Builder Coming SoonThis is AWESOME! I know it says that suggestions should be made later, but I would like to advise taking notes from this site as far as general functions/filters etc. As far as deckbuilding sites go, I think it is the most functional as a card search engine and deckbuilder together (the way it should and needs to be, instead of having them seperate)... Please check it out! - https://hex.tcgbrowser.com/#!/cardsPosted in: Articles

Feb 4, 2014Kajarak32 posted a message on Launch Giveaway!First off, congratulations on the new site! It looks great. I am new to MTG and this site has been great for giving me tips, so thank you. And, even though I'm new, I do have a favorite card and I unfortunately have yet to put it into a deck. Enter the Infinite is my favorite card; who doesn't dream of having their library as their hand? So unique and brilliant.Posted in: Announcements

"Serra Sentinel
A Human Soldier [2\2] vigilance, that when it dies her spirit becomes a beautiful [4\4] Angel that not only has Flying but Vigilance as well" ?
Edit: It seems the source has been removed... Not sure what that means if anything.
Edit, edit: Uploaded imgur mirror of image I still had up in another tab. Thoughts?
Thanks for the interest and asking questions!
I will try to answer your questions in order:
1. Ayli - Basically, when she is active we are winning anyway, and once this deck is winning, the game is usually about over. There just aren't any noncreature permanents that ruin my day enough to need more. (Teysa is great at removing any creature problems easily.)
2. Tutors - This is covered in my "Deckbuilding Philosophy" section of the primer, but basically, I don't like running tutors in decks that have at least one infinite combo in it. It just sort of ruins it for me and my playgroup. That is also why the deck runs many, many redundant pieces.
3. Reanimation - This deck has become less creature heavy as I've updated it, and thus reanimation has become weaker. Also, with the amount of pieces I am tying to assemble (without tutors) I need to include more pieces to somewhat consistently achieve the "end game", and reanimation just gets cut for not adding to that. I did have a heavy reanimation version of Teysa that actually ended up being too good most of the time, so I turned it into this. Also, this is generally more fun.
3. Panharmonicon - Panharmonicon (essentially) does what a lot of the permanents in this deck do. It doubles the amount of life you gain from Soul Sister effects. It also has the small added bonus of strong interactions with Gray Merchant, Ashen Rider, Grave Titan, etc. But the main idea is double life gain triggers.
I saw this complicated question asked here: Reddit Link, and was totally unsure of the answer.
I have recently learned that if a Commander is exiled via a Banishing Light, or similar type of effect, and the owner chooses to place it in the Command Zone as a replacement, that commander can still be put back onto the battlefield via the Banishing Light's singular effect.
So, this seems like a similar question here: If, say I, exiled someone else's Commander with Profane Procession, and that player opts to place that card into their Command Zone as a replacement: 1. Does it count toward the "3 cards exiled with Profane Procession? 2. Assuming that Commander hasn't changed zones since this effect was applied, can it be "put onto the battlefield" with Tomb of the Dusk Rose?
This seems like a complicated question, so please enlighten me, and thank you in advance.
Feel free to ask any questions as well.
You didn't list it, but I trust you are playing Insurrection, too? Don't want you to miss out on it if you aren't playing it already.
Been thinking about it recently for a few of my decks, specifically one that has a life gain theme. So, what's the verdict? Great, good, ok, bad? Discuss!
Pitiless Plunderer seems absolutely disgusting... in the all the best ways. He turns all sac-outlets into better versions of Phyrexian Altar, and him being a black creature is kinda nice, too.
Also, I have now completed posting and writing up my version of Teysa - Life Gain/Drain (Primer?), so it'd be great if any of you wanted to check it out. Feel free to comment about anything at all.
