Apr 11, 2017Kajarak32 posted a message on MTG Salvation Deck Builder Coming SoonThis is AWESOME! I know it says that suggestions should be made later, but I would like to advise taking notes from this site as far as general functions/filters etc. As far as deckbuilding sites go, I think it is the most functional as a card search engine and deckbuilder together (the way it should and needs to be, instead of having them seperate)... Please check it out! - https://hex.tcgbrowser.com/#!/cardsPosted in: Articles

Feb 4, 2014Kajarak32 posted a message on Launch Giveaway!First off, congratulations on the new site! It looks great. I am new to MTG and this site has been great for giving me tips, so thank you. And, even though I'm new, I do have a favorite card and I unfortunately have yet to put it into a deck. Enter the Infinite is my favorite card; who doesn't dream of having their library as their hand? So unique and brilliant.Posted in: Announcements

Also, Five-Alarm Fire seems janky but very fun.
Also, also, I didn't see Hellrider here yet.
I don't think something that hasn't occurred can be "repeated". For this reason, I believe casting this for BB (X = 0) will still cause one instance of the effect.
Just read this and thought it was relevant to this thread. It's a decent read and a fun thought exercise if nothing else.
I definitely agree with some points, but the whole idea is very different.
903.9. If a commander would be exiled from anywhere or put into its owner’s hand, graveyard, or library from anywhere, its owner may put it into the command zone instead. This replacement effect may apply more than once to the same event. This is an exception to rule 614.5.
A discussion has been going on in the commander rules subforum, and I would like to get it cleared up. The thread title should sum it up, but long story short, if a commander would move to a non-command zone zone, which player gets to decide where that commander goes.
Link to current discussion: http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/commander-edh/commander-rules-discussion-forum/775432-ban-mindlsaver-or-change-a-ruling
Example: A commander dies while its owner is under the effects of Mindslaver. Does the current controller get to decide to keep it in the graveyard, or can the owner decide to put it into the command zone?
Thank you for the help!
It was "taken" because it was unintented in the first place. Any way to permanently remove a commander from its owner is an outlying issue at this point.
As far as the rules on this, I am pretty sure that gaining control of a player does not mean that that player gets to decide where the commander goes when it dies, etc. As ErtaiPlaneswalker already stated, the owner of the commander will always be the one to make this decision.Edit: To double-check this, I created a thread in the rules forum of this site to make sure of the ruling. (Please see below for official ruling and why.)

Update: I was incorrect in my initial thoughts, and Mindslaver-ing a player does allow that player to put the commander wherever he or she chooses upon it moving to a non-command zone zone. All I can do at this point is agree that this kind of interaction is lame at best, and would hope for a way to prevent this issue.
Also, may I suggest token producing creatures and/or spells. Such as: Hallowed Spiritkeeper
and Cloudgoat Ranger (there are many others like these), Storm Herd, Plague of Vermin, and Devout Invocation (there are many others like these, as well).
Also, I always feel that Living Death and Rise of the Dark Realms are good for ETB and death triggers when paired with a sac outlet.
