I've basically only played this deck since GP: Seattle and I love it. I'm always making some small tweaks and adjustments.
#1) 19 Land I think 20 is a bit much and I was flooding out, the second Bayou is literally a brick most times, easy cut.
#2) THE List is pretty much set (you know what it is off by heart right?), but I'm always changing adding things. Especially cutting Tombstalker for TNN/Leovold. Other changes I make back and forth, Ponder for Bob (one more mana is huge but body is great). Thoughtsieze main for Fatal. 1 less Lily for TNN/Leovold etc.
#GPVAN Went 10-5 and got a pro point! I lost to Ad Nauseaum and Breech Titan (variants) 4 times! Did I just run cold or ??
Are we favored vs the RG versions of shift/titan/scape? I thought the matchup was just fine. Ran into bolt/anger/baloth/dead.
I am on the Nacatl/Atarkas deck so I'm always starting at around 14 life but that's the same as being at 18. Ideas/tips? Love the deck, first real event I played it and it has alot of intricacies to it that I never expected.
Good to see 8 Seas is getting results. I was the original advocate of the deck and played it on #mtgo with results. At that time I derided for it, but I know everyone eventually comes around.
Eldrazi and Angels and planes getting blown apart, population wiped or turned is getting boring.
I want a nice boring plane with cool machines to cleanse the palette. And Naya has had an amazing run, time for some good Blue/Black/Red cards. (Well UR at least)
It'S got 9 votes so far. It'S the same as most decent cards and half the votes of the best cards. Seems maccurate to me. It won't always be good. Actually, it may often be bad since it'S pretty underwhelming early game.
Reid Duke just called it his favorite combat trick.
10 sources of green is not good for this deck. And I'm not sure if the other creatures and counters is a good in a Reflector Mage world when Deathmist Raptor/Den Protector are just better.
PS I just tried your deck on a MTG client and it doesn't work.
Wilt Leaf Liege + Path is the answer. I have gone very agro with the deck and it fights Eldrazi very well. Painter Servant eats up slots in the SB and you can't Chord for it, you have to have it in hand, and just play it.
Path their Smasher, for the discard, discard Wilt Leaf Liege Booyah, 4 mana saved! + Voices and Finks = Value town. The elemental tokens are G/W.
Is there any other good GW creatures? I like Painter Servant turning everything Green (Resto Angel is +2/+2 with WLL!). OR, turning everything Red and using Burton Forge Tender to block?
I wish there was a color sweeper/hoser like Perish or something similar in Modern.
Anyone seen the Paul Dean Thune chord version? While I personally prefer the Kiki-Combo as it actually kills your opponent and resto is just a better card than Archangel in my opinion, the deck includes some serious spice! Myr Superion seems insane, especially against eldrazi where you can easily chord for it t3 and just block everything they put into play. Also liking Intrepid Hero
Painter's Servant has some game vs Eldrazi. It shuts off Temple/Eye. It just has to survive getting dismember'd.
I would never leave home without Wilt Leaf Liege now, as you need 4 and 5 power creatures to have a hope. But really, this is all moot when you are thinking of fighting Mishra's Workshop and sol lands with no drawback.
The deck is DOA. It's not going to be the speed and disruption of Eldrazi. The match LSV played vs Efro was proof. He absolutely demolished him.
We could go with creatures like Fiend Hunter?? I don't like this deck in this meta now unless it's seriously retooled. 4 Path, 4 Fiend Hunter and we might survive the massive rush and then build from there. Voice is utter nonsense in this new meta. He's a 2 turn chump blocker. With Wilt Leaf he can block Thought Knot, but Reality Smasher is a beast (and 7/7 endless ones)...
Anyways, sorry to be a downer, this Modern PT was the pits.

Anyone else go to GP Vancouver and play burn??
Wrong.

Don't worry, LOTS of people said Jace, Vryn's Prodigy was bad, unplayable etc. We shall see!

Great suggestions, feeling good again!
