Guys, I need some help with sideboarding. Could you enlighten me what's good and bad in mirror / mardu? I am playing temur version with big Chandras. Also I saw a lot of Confiscation Coup in the sideboards - in which matchups it should come in?
Next weekend I am going to PPTQ and I expect a lot of bant company and UW humans. Do you have any advice for me how to play against bant company?
It depends on the list ur running really..languish, hallowed moonlight, transgress aiming for CoCo, Infinite Obliteration naming Bounding Krasis, taking out some gideon for Kalitas/Ayli couldn't hurt either.
Um, sorry, I have almost the same list as posted higher, full bw control.
I have Tom Ross list (same main, different sideboard). Deck is quite powerful, especially if unanswered. I beat today Atarka Red, Abzan, RB Eldrazi and BW control. I think Engineer is great and usually its better to just drop Engineer if you got Phoenix in hand (especially if you have Kolaghan for t5).
For those people complaining about Hangarback - I think you want to pump Hangarback to 3-4 but from my experience it is a mistake. You play him on t2 and then chump on 3rd or 4th turn to get a token or two. I almost always chump to get flying tokens which in the end are gonna win me a game. Treat Hangarback like a chump blocker, not a creature that needs to stay on def for like 5 turns (because you are curving out and have no mana to pump it up). Also side them out when you see enchant removal.
This is the deck I've been rocking on mtgo. I've won a few 8 man pods and it's a blast to play.
Feels so consistent.
The deck's worst match-up is Gx ramp. It's beatable, but doing so requires to go on the beat down path.
Rally is also a hit-or-miss result, depending on what they draw and what I draw. It feels about 50/50 thus far.
How useful and relevant has Ruinous Path been? How often are you siding it out if at all?
I love Ruinous Path. Typically I only side it out vs Ramp, Atarka Red, and occasionally Rally (depending on the build).
I also prefer not to use alot of creatures. My Seeker's come out in almost every single matchup. As a result Ruinous Path gives me an extra late game threat (which comes in handy alot).
How is working for you 4th Gideon? For me I prefer 3rd Ob nixilis instead of 4th Gideon. Gideon is bad if you are behind.
Hi guys, couple post ago I posted my list with sideboard guide.
I was on PPTQ today and I did pretty good I think. I went 3-1-1 in swiss rounds (29 players) winning with atarka(bushwacker edition) red, abzan blue and jund elves, draw with abzan company and loosing to abzan(my bad draws, abzan had 4 wardens and 4 advocats).
In top 8 I lost in the first match against GR eldrazi. Both games I mulliganes to 6 and my opponent was drawing nuts(for ex. t3 transgress revealing 2 worldbreakers, ugin, 2 lands and matter reshaper, exiled worldbreaker, my opp draws explosive veg, next turn draw ugin, next ulamog).
I think ramp is the hardest matchup. We are just too slow. If we have a fast draw (seekers / mentors) they usually got kozileks return..
Anyway, deck performed well and Im pretty happy with the result.
I would not cut seekers. From my experience they are really good in this matchup. Turn 2 seeker is really hard for them. I'd side as for normal abzan. Including counterspells means they will be less aggresive and you are much better in the late game. Also I think duress is bad against abzan. This is attrition matchup and you definitely do not want to topdeck this in late.
If you are siding out a planar in every matchup why have it at all?
Abzan is the most played archetype and it is good vs them. Its a reset button in game one if something goes wrong but after sideboard we have usually better things.
This is the deck I went 3-0-1(split in finals) on FNM and then on gameday 3-0-2(2 splits for top8) and finished as 3rd in top8 (lost to atarka red because of my mistake and his superior draws). Overall I am happy with the deck, however I feel like it fades out in late because of no card advantage.
This is a new idea. Splash green for card advantage (den and abzan charm) and best removal in format (abzan charm). Also added 1 tasigur for another late card advantage. I have not tested it yet. What do you think?
Is there a point playing jeskai black without Jace's? I won't spend 50euro per Jace, but I played Jeskai deck whole previous season. I regret not buying Jace's when they were low. So is there any good replacement for it? Just swap for seekers or split seeker with mentor? Or just drop jeskai completely and go play mardu dragons or smth?
I'll be taking this to an FNM level event tonight. I'm not sure what my local meta looks like right now as I haven't played an event since the release of Origins. I doubt my store will have any Jace, Vryn's Prodigy in stock so that's probably not an option. Any last-minute suggestions?
Thanks!

Playing almost the same list. I switched outburst with Clash of wills and I was impressed by this card.
