Nice, white has some pretty good limited cards so far. Looking forward to the prerelease with stuff like this.

IMO Grand Master will be a fringe player in control strategies as a means to lock people out, or as a sideboard option in burn/aggro mirrors. Standard playable...maybe.

Would be cool if it is a combo enabler, but brewing isn't really my cup of tea.

We can agree to disagree about the card. That's what Magic is, different views of different players on different cards. I don't need to boost my presales by speaking highly of this card as it does it itself. It may turn out to be what you say it is but I believe it is a crazy powered 2 drop.

I think Soulflayer is going to be the creeper in this set. It is really good, really good. To be able to cast that for 2...and have abilities stack on it!

I'm not sure if I really see Soulfire doing that much in standard but I do believe it will make a splash in other formats. I can see a Boros Burn deck taking shape with this guy.

I agree, the demon can be devastating to certain decks the same way Desecration was. Though costing more than Desecration doesn't make him quite as much of a threat overall. I really can't get over SoulFire. It is just absolutely nuts. That card will see broad format play and it will probably do some major work.

SoulFire is absolutely bonkers for a two drop. Bob, Stoneforge, Deathrite and Young Pyromancer have a new friend.

I don't think Ugin is a win more card at all. I believe he is a change the tide of the game card just like most of the planeswalkers that are out there now. If you are getting steam rolled and you happen to be able to get out Ugin, he will change the flow of the game most likely. If you are winning and you get him out, it's going to make it harder for your opponent to come back.

I don't want to get too ahead of myself, but this card being the Buy-a-Box promo has me worried that it'll be good. I think there's another thread here that goes over previous BBP's and notes that these promos are oftentimes playable in some capacity, if not downright amazing in their respective formats. I don't play Abzan, so I'm not sure if this is something they need (because really, do you guys need more life gain?). If it ends up being good though, I imagine the ceiling will be pretty high.

I agree, this set does have a Future Sight feel to it. So far the spoilers we received are very impressive, should shake things up nicely in the standard format. I can't get over how good Soulflayer seems. It just seems very crazy to me that you can get all that for BB!!

This guy is going to be a pain in limited but alas, will not see an ounce of constructed play. I like those two abilities combined though, pretty neat card.

Manifest is pretty sweet for sure but it is going to get games confusing I think. That Elemental is nasty, way to go Wizards!

Wouldn't Flamerush be pretty awesome with rabblemaster? Copy a rabblemaster, sure. The Revelation seems pretty good, not quite Sphinx's but still good.

Soul flayed is SICK!!! Outpost siege is pretty cool, I like how you can choose between Khans or Dragons. Dash is pretty good, I like that it returns it to your hand and does not send it to your graveyard.
