So after looking at some more at matchups at my local level I am moving up to 4 sweepers in the 75. Anger and Verdict both Mainboard and Sideboard. Verdict won me a game against Grixis, and it is pretty much all I wanted to draw against Spirits. I left the Ancestral Visions at home and I do not think they would have helped at all. This meta, imo, is too fast for AV. I was happy with Serum Visions but man Preordain would make this deck so good.
I think a Blood Moon in the side will help against lists like Eldrazi and Spirits. Just fetch your basics early and stick with the Nahiri plan. Blood Moon pretty much turns off Eldrazi and Bant Spirits (assuming it is a list that doesn't run Vial).
If anyone has suggestions on what I can change (specifically the sideboard, I'm pleased with the main), that'd be greatly appreciated.
No suggestions, as it looks very promising, but I have a question. What is the benefit of having Keranos in SB instead of MB? When do you want to side him in and what match-ups are just bad with him?
I have never played modern before, but have the deck now for a start. And when people are mentioning Narset, I really want to know how she works. Wouldn't you need alot of setting up before she would be allright? I mean, how many noncreature spells should you aim to hit with her? I feel like I would hit counterspell after counterspell..
Narset won me two matches tonight. Fun card for sure. Both games she finished the game on the first swing with a Cryptic/bolt and cryptic Helix/bolt. The hexproof just shut down my opponents bad. Got it on the board against Grixis control and Abzan when they only had Terminate in hand and she just mopped them up. Hopefully more testing will provide more positive results. Had to drop after going 3-0 due to RL. Can't wait to play her again.
Seeing Sene's cool deck with Algae, I wanted to try myself if the draft went that way. And it did, got to pick up two.
The deck:
However, I lost on time due to the Algae getting gigantic. Is there any way to speed this up? I had the game, but it was just trigger, trigger, trigger..
Tried one more, went 3-0:
Glassdust Husk really saves the day. Getting cranial on him with an artifact played was huge.
So I guess they did this because of the wrapping being cardboard. I own a metal detector, and with the foil wrap out of the way, sniffing the packs for foils would be a really easy task. This makes sense.
I love your white, and it's definitely a core colour. That said, Flying Crane Technique is a better card than anything that you actually have in your deck. I'd try for a Jeskai deck to start with, then maybe see what the splash options are. And, the black cards are too good to leave out. Last cuts: Jeskai Sage, War Flare
This is a base UW deck that is effectively splashing both red and black for bombs and removal.

It has more flyers than your azban build, a better 'instant win' card in Flying Crane Technique, plus more reach with double Treasure Cruise if the game goes late.
Thank you very much for the input. I have believed that FCT was somewhat clunky, but my friend and you have convinced me otherwise
I did my first GPT today, went 3-2 and I'm fairly happy with that. Did stupid mistakes while playing, so that's that. But what deck would you build off of this pool?
In retrospect, I think Harsh Sustenance might have been too cute, with a fairly low amount of creatures. I sided in Throttle and Return to the Earth against some flyers and stuff. I tried to keep the black low, due to bad fixing, but got manascrewed in two games anyways. Maybe 1 less Plains and 1 more Green?
So, I am trying to give an answer to the question "What do you want your deck to do?".. I want it to use Acolyte's Reward (since I think it's a very enjoyble card), and get Preeminent Captains out to swing and get Charioteers out for free (or others). A little blue is added, since I need cards I guess?
I want to know why this deck sucks (I really guess it does). I am trying to grasp as much knowledge about playing standard decks, and what does this lose to, and why? Can it win against something?
I actually had Phalanx Leader there in the start, but thought I needed support for air. But you are correct devotion-wise, I guess I'll swap em in! Maybe 2 Phalanx, 2 Vanguard..
I completly agree with Banisher, Boros and Brave, but I am only going for THS. Maybe if some of my friends have em. Maybe some Banishing Light?
So I wanted to make a deck consisting of Evangel of Heliod and Acolyte's Reward. I really am curious if they could do well in a FNM, even though I hear many say Evangel is too slow. What I want the deck to do is to have heroics stalling the board (or winning) at first, then get bow + tokens out. Ajani to help with counters/card search. Gift of Immortality on Evangel could be fun, but maybe I am just being to optimistic, and this deck would be too slow?
I am not on any budget, but I have only THS block cards, since I would like to build on this with the upcoming M15 and Tarkir.
Interesting, would you mind posting your 75?
