I think that the fact that it can't be targeted by [/card] Abrupt Decay [/] and the first mode of [/card] Fatal Push [/] makes it worthwhile a lot.

Then you could play legacy with 8 bayous and 8 seas!

"Opposition will be excellent in this deck. You can even tap your own Winter Orb, Static Orb, before your turn with it. Breya provides the creatures to use it effectively."

How about Ghirapur Aether Grid? Seems awesome with Unwinding Clock!

Reclamation sage is autoinclude on g2 every time you play against white. It saves the day against WB tokens wheb they get a Leyline of Sanctity with an endless army of vigilance blockers. I had that matchup, and infinite life, and the guy wouldn't concede until I drew a chord for the sage.

I've been browsing this thread a little, I have tried this deck the last 2 PPTQs I did, and last one I scored 4-1-0 (lost to mirror for a play mistake, third place is not bad though), before losing to grixis twins in top 8.

I didn't have the razorverge, so I replaced them for Horizon Canopies x2 and 1x Eiganjo Castle. I used the Voices instead of goyfs, and had much success with that. Eigango saves both Melira and Anafenza from bolt range, and Varolz is just icing. Plus, sac VoR with seer to scry eot, see chord/collectd draw with horizon and win is priceless. Finks makes up 100% for canopy life loss.

About quicken, I played it while backin september when the deck was new. Did 3-0 in a win-a-box, no game loss. Vs ad nauseam and pod it was great. Vs pod I used Twisted Image too; cantrip into killing Noble Hierarch is very frustrating for opponent.

I'd be curious to see where you put spellskite main deck.

How much disruption do you guys play maindeck too?

Greater Auramancy seems like a great idea too vs Decay/golgari charm. It also synergises very well with the Wind Zendikon build.

In that last list I saw no Wear // Tear in the side. I think it's a must have card - for both Eidolons, Leyline and Blood Moon. Swan Song is a no brainer, it's the best counterspell there is early game.

Lastly, I used to play Quicken in the main, 1-2 copies, because it allowed me to Wish EoT then go off out of nowhere. I always feel that vs any black deck, discard seems like a problem, and they run it main. With Serum Visions it was also great because you could keep it on top, play quicken draw and wish.

Anybody play Bound // Determined in the wishboard anymore? Tefferi would seem too like a great card to put vs control.

I've been thinking too of adding in the side batterskull or SoFaF with birds and Ferie Conclave, seems like something they must answer/won't expect. Artifacts can't be killed by charm and Batterskull cant be decayed. Gains life, blocks, is a win con by itself and we can land it turn 3 with Birds/Caryatid. You can also play Steelshaper's Gift to get it and add Swiftfoot Boots to get another dork/Faerie online midcombo.

Indeed you need it for the first too.
Yeah, and putting one in the wishboard is really useful with atbor elf.

Well, it's possible but just harder. The first land you fetch is Breeding pool, the second is Temple Garden (so you can cantrip and wish), then cantrip until you have a Manamorphose so you can cast a second ascendancy/any other spells requirering other mana. Remember you need green to cast Manamorphose, and elf only untaps forests.

Then you're off. I feel like Fatestitcher is pretty much the same as the elf, but you get more consistency to not frizzle with him, but less explosives turn 2 kill. The difference with Fatestitcher is that it can tap/untap any permanent, so if you are running rainbow lands or have bird/caryatid out, you can just count it as another rainbow.

Hey, trying to build a more controlish build splashing blue. What's your experience with that sort of build ?
Here is current list, i have good results in tournament practice room, going to run some dailies soon and looking for some advices before doing so.

Leonin Arbiter; Wayferer and fetchlands? I'm not sure cutting the package is worth it that much, because the strengh of it relies in the tempo gain it gives you. Now he's just slowing you down with all that searching of your own. Thought with Wayferer I like the fact that you can get straight to LD when you need to. But this seems controversal a little bit. I really like Harm's Way and Shinning Shoal. Familiar's Ruse is a classic in control, i used to play it a lot in Cruel Control. Going more spell heavy you should consider Snapcaster Mage (vial snap, flash familiar, bounce it back as part of cost, fun times).

I had a build with Ephara. Too slow but ok in the very grindy matchups. Clique is always a good card - but we already are heavy on x/1 creatures... look at the current price of Forked Bolt.

I'm evaluating Skaab Ruinator atm because in theory he's an unbeatable fighter that can come off a vial or after a (non-anger) boardwipe - even from gy. A deck with Ruinator has to play 4 Judge's Familiar for sure.

While being out there, ruinator is amasing. But the problem is that if you don't have a vial out, he's most of the time stuck in your hand, making it even slower than Ephara.

Good call for Forked Bolt, Treasure Cruise made Delver real popular latery. Probably main decking Kor Firewalker could be a good call too; Lightning Bolt is a 4 of in 49% of the decks (mtgtop8) right now.

Is there a reason why you are playing Izzet Staticaster? I never found a situation where wanted to wish for it, because at 3 mana, you might as well play Fiery Temper to clean the board, and it gives you the option to kill something bigger.

I don't play Noble Hierarch either (since I don't believe it's worth getting at 75$ a piece for a 3rd choice dork in that deck). How have utopia sprawl been doing? I feel like it could be solid with more Fatestitcher. I have 2 Win Zendikon in that spot, and they pump pretty fast (to kill), but don't draw a card - which caused me to frizzle a few time. Utopia sprawl won't untap right away without Fatestitcher while going off, but it seems better early game.

Anything that cantrips is playable, just that it might not be the best option out of all the cantrips you have.

How does Quicken beat control? Let's say they tap out on your EOT, you Quicken+Wish for Ascendancy, then what? You're still going to have to cast Ascendancy, and they know that you have it in your hand so they'll leave up counters for it.

You don't wish for Jeskai Ascendancy, you wish for protection against control to be able to cast it - like Bound // Determined or Guttural Response. That's what I've done so far at least.

Have anyone tried Repeal for disruption? Seems to have potential. I've thought about Condescend too.
