The only thing not to like about this card is that stupid weapon in the art.

Okay, so that is in agreement with a statement I remember: The the common and uncommon Showcase Adventure cards (and their foils) can ONLY be gotten in the Collector's Boosters - therefore, inversely, the rares and mythics may show up in normal packs (just at a much lower rate, obviously).

My understanding is from the draft boosters all showcase cards are available, only difference is common showcase cards only appear as foils, but the other rarities can be gotten in foil and non foil showcase.

I like to think this will help keep the costs lower for regular product, but that just may be wishful thinking, though boosters have been the same price for as long as I've played.

If anything it will help get some of the ancillary stuff into the market as people try to sell off that to make up the booster cost which they are cracking for the extended / alt art rare/mythic stuff which does nothing for me really. The only thing I like in here are the showcase cards which you can get from the draft boosters and now likely a flooded secondary market from those who crack these things and dump them to recoup the cost.

    We will see what happens.

Maybe Cunning Evasion can return your adventured creatures if they block them otherwise ninja them out.

Here is a janky one I've been working on trying to pull off.

Dual Casting + any creature + Hidden Strings + Something that taps for R and more (Empowered Autogenerator, Izzet Boilerworks) + Something to do with the mana (Fireball) or copy triggers (Ral, Storm Conduit).

Coming from a purely casual point of view:

Philosophically I don't think tutors should be banned or anything as they are part of the game, and is a piece of black's color pie, but LD is part of red's and has a real stigma to the point it's almost bad form to play that, so I think tutors fall into that category.

I'm of the belief that limitations breed creativity not just in deck building but in actually playing the game. If you have access to any card in your deck you are not really limited but without tutors if someone goes to resolve a big threat and you don't have the card in hand you have to puzzle out a way around it by using other resources (other players, build more generalized answers into the cards you play, etc). Granted this has limitations too as instant speed combo doesn't really give you a chance to find an answer but that's another topic.

Removing the tutors, won't lead to winning more games but will allow more interactive game play with the table which I think is more important than actually winning the game.

Is it really fun to go tutor for the perfect card in any given situation? For some the answer is probably yes, but the games I remember most are the ones where someone (maybe not even myself) had to lean on weird corner case interactions with the cards they had to pull out some crazy solution to a problem. No one remembers who won the game, but the big plays within were what really stuck. The whole "Its not the destination, but the journey" sort of applies here.

I like the idea and the look, but they seem like they are basically weaker ETB creatures where you have to pay for the spell effect, then pay for the creature. Also the creature half is not as abusable with blink and the like as to use it again you need to return it to your hand then recast the adventure side all over again. And you can't really flashback the spell half even if you wanted to. Maybe if they had some more build arounds to support the mechanic it might be a thing but it doesn't look like it will be good in commander.

It's my understanding of the lore (having not read the book) that she was chosen (just like Kenrith) to go on a quest for all 5 knight hoods.
She only got 4 because she chose to save Kenrith and his two children (Will and Rowen). They ended up getting married thus she is queen. If the witch had killed King Kenrith, she likely would have still been the Monarch as she would have likely received the 5th knighthood and been coronated.

The fact she is black has little to do with any of that story, and really should it? Do we need to explain why King Kenrith was worthy of going on a quest for all 5 knighthoods? It seems like the latter is just accepted as plausible without pretext while the former is unfathomable.

I'm really liking Anje as well. As there are many ways to go.

I took mine in a more aristocrats load up the graveyard, get stuff back/enter from the graveyard sort of thing. Oversold Cemetery turns all creatures into a squee once you have 4 in the yard (which is pretty easy when rumaging). Gravecrawler is a cheap sac target once you have another zombie out. Desecrated Tomb gives you extra value for getting creatures out of the graveyard. Mikaeus, the Unhallowed gets them back twice, bit pricy but I had one looking for a deck. Throw in your favorite value sac effect and you can get a nice engine going.

Been impressed with Font of Agonies especially if you have k'rrik out, also probably want Whip of Erebos if you go heavy in the pay life thing.

Tutors are just basically wild cards which I find unfun in all games not just Magic. It seems they've been printing more tutor hate of late. I just hope they continue to print more playable tutor hate, then the problem will fix itself as tutoring will not be a sure thing.

You are entitled to your opinion, but I don't agree with putting words in others mouths or stifle/censor others who have a different opinion for also expressing it. I don't think anyone here is arguing for actual men to suffer, to make up for a history of oppression, nor are praising actual oppression of any kind regardless of the instigator or the victim. I think we can separate the reality from fantasy depictions, otherwise where is the outrage for a card called Murder and even if people can't there are plenty of depictions of males being dominant in Magic perhaps if not physically dominating women but dominant none the less. Hell the ruler of this plane is a King though I'm sure there will also be strong female characters as well which doesn't effect my self worth or make me feel minimized in anyway.

Does Leadership Vacuum increase the commander tax or does it just go back with the same tax it had before?

The commander cost would increase. Command tax doesn't care how/ why the commander was returned to the command zone, it just cares how many times your commander was cast previously and uses that to figure out the tex value

I assumed that's the case but then it's basically a kill spell in blue disguised as an unsummon.
