I'm going to repeat that a summarily defeated and weakened O-Kagachi should not be 9/9 or 10/10. His flavorful ability explains why he was able to destroy an indestructible Konda, too. As the only player on my team, I will state that he is fine for where he is at in power at the end of the story. Maybe it's not the peak power version everybody wanted to see, but at least he is a balanced general, unlike Ur-Dragon which I find utterly too pushed.
Even without Kyodai, O-Kagachi was still the most powerful and most fearsome Kami of all. He was remarkably powerful. The descriptions alone warrant a 10/10 at least.
That was before his heads were binded until 2 were left and then he got reduced to the size of a normal snake, then Michiko Konda and Kyodai bit his remaining 2 heads off. Now you are seeing a version that is slowly recovering from this injury.
People hating on O-Kagachi are forgetting this is the version without his heart. If he had his heart he would be bigger and come into play with a divinity counter like a Kami, which would make him indestructible. Because his heart was taken out he became smaller, weaker and was ultimately defeated by Michiko Konda and his Daughter. So he is fair for the power level he is at now. With his heart he should have been printed much stronger, I agree.
Here I humbly submit a deck I had been wanting to post for a long time and finally got around to it.
The deck is aptly titled: Reign of Fire.
Here is the king, his crown and his domain:
Afterwards comes a slew of custom made basic lands for this deck. I am very proud of these lands and what they look like:
Followed by non-basic lands for mana fixing, the original duals are print on foil proxies to imitate those of magic online, but I have revised ones if someone dislike proxies:
Afterward comes the utility lands:
Now this particular deck aims to ramp into a 7CMC spell by turn 4 most of the time. So I run a slew of ramp.
First the 1-2CMC ramp:
Followed by the 3-4 CMC ramp:
After our hand is empty and we have ramped like a king, here comes the part were we reload the clip:
Now we get to the meat of the deck, the firegods, sovereign of the skies:
Did you spot the intruder? No matter, he earned his place. Now on to the big dawgs:
So much aggressivity and violence ends up causing much destruction:
Finally we have a few miscellaneous cards that fit the deck but usually have no particular theme except the damage doubling sub-theme:
Hope you all enjoyed my signature deck. This is by far my favorite deck and the one I like to play most. Karrthus, the Claw, as I name him, has been sewing terror in my playgroup for a long time now.
2. Bloomscale dragon is too strong and easily an infinite enabler, consider toning him down somewhat?
3. Dragons's hoard should be changed to search your library for a permanent card. For flavor reasons, spells can't be hoarded and for balance. A demonic tutor with upsides is a bit strong.
Super necro. This thread was dead, but I realized the combo doesn't even work, so now the deck is dead.
You can still make the Worldgorger loop happen, but it takes several combo pieces and is not powerful enough to build a deck around. Oh well, this is my favorite deck that never was!
So unless you have one sac outlet and one way to recur, or Tel-Jilad Stylus, this isn't happening.
I may be a potentially huge dummy here, but I don't get how half of those combos work. Worldgorger dragon and scourge of valkas for example, how is it a combo unless worldgorger dragon was reanimated via animate dead? Since this is not happening in mono red, it means only way I see it happening is if you have a suspended greater gargadon and a card to reshuffle worldgorger dragon. Just by themselves these two cards don't do anything from my understanding.
As for scourge of the throne and moltensteel dragon imagining you were at 40 life and suicidal, you can pay 38 life to bring him up to 23/23 and the scourge would dethrone for 6, dealing a total of 29 damage, but now you can deal 29 to each opponent in a pod of 4 or use the second attack phase to finish someone, hardly a game ender since at 2 life you won't live another turn, realistically. This would only end a game in a duel I guess.
Thanks for explaining where I am mistaken, kind regards.
Only 3 cards in the whole of MTG can grant a creature Vigilance and Haste. As a vigilance, haste buffer with a respectable +2+2 boost she is already good, what I was needing for one of my EDH decks. Her +1+1 trample also fits in greatly and her ultimate will be not quite a game ender in my deck but a good thing. As for the bolt and the token it's mileage will vary in commander, but at least with the bolt she can hunt other planeswalker. I am very satisfied with the art rendition on the card. As for the big toolbox of abilities this gives my EDH deck, it is a nice enough card and as good a haste enabler as any in commander.
Can we get the current list, at least? Kind regards.
Also, I wonder what is this thread's general opinion of Winter cube holiday foil dual lands on magic online? I really like them and their new arts and it's possible to make them on blank foils to play with in paper form. I own the real dual lands, but was considering making these foil 'proxies' to make my deck uniformly foil, any opinions?

A more accurate word for word translation would be: Abbey of the Oriental Vale
