It drives me nuts when people do this. When I ask to view a card I will normally extend my hand halfway and ask to read it. Only after a nod or a "go ahead" will I then spin the card and lean over to read it. Then only time I physically hold an opponents card is if I ask to read it and they pick it up and hand it to me.
EDIT: This is in regards to people picking up cards they dont own without asking.
But seriously, I only play at FNM and casually at home. And it really bothers me when someone makes fun of a player for their homebrews. Everyone has to start somewhere...
Just hoping to get some funny responses to see what other people think "too much magic" means to them. I'll start:
You know you play too much Magic when you go to your local card shop to buy new sleeves, end up buying $27 worth of singles, then get home and realize you forgot the sleeves haha
Why did you feel the need to make this thread. A card being in a deck that won a single tournament means very little. Should i make a thread if ashiok isnt in the deck that wins the next open saying thats proof its bad?
Ashoik being good in block also has nothing to do with people saying it was bad when it was spoiled since that format did not exist when it was spoiled.
I think he is simply trying to shine some light on this card. Personally im surprised that it hasnt been played more.
When I use this guys ability to return creatures from the graveyard to the battlefield, can I return the cards I sacrificed? Basically, can I pay the cost to activate the ability before I choose the targets?
So in a 1v1 match, if my opponent controls ashiok and I control Aegis of the Gods, since I have hexproof can my opponent roll ashiok up? Or are they stuck until they deal with Aegis?
Personally, as a Green Mage, my favorite is the Bow of Nylea. With its deathtouch of attackers and 4 useful abilities I am never disappointed with this card. A second pick for me would have to be the Whip of Erebos, although I dont normally play black decks, I always feel intimidated by this card. I have seen it easily turn the game around.
So what are your favs? If you want to add a short/funny story about using your favorite weapon that would be awesome!
If I have 2 spirit bonds out and I play a non token creature will I be able to pay {W} twice and make 2 spirit tokens?
