First of all thanks for some really great advices :):):):):). I have posted a revised deck based on your feedback. Would appreciate any further suggestions as they have been really useful so far. Below the deck list I have written a short explanation of the changes I have made.
1. Added 4 Swords to Plowshares for fast direct removals.
2. I have replaced kor outfitter with Puresteel Paladin because it gives me card advantage and I believe that maybe, just maybe I will be able to consistenly get metalcraft early on, because of artifact lands and equipments.
3. Added various artifact lands for quick metalcraft
I'm looking into getting yet another deck. This time I'm looking into a fairly cheap with weenie deck. The deck is fairly self explanatory. Any suggestions on how to improve the deck would be much appreciated.
It's pretty hard to build a competitive 3-color Legacy deck for $100.
Just to clarify in case my English has fallen short. When I say competitive in casual legacy I'm not talking about owning any other deck in it's price class, just give me a fighting chance or edge. So basicly I don't want every 20-150$ deck to slaughter my deck. Also I do recognize that three color decks are usually awfully expensive due to dual lands. However some magic genius might have a deck for me, if not I'm more than willing to settle for a two color deck.
So I have been looking trough my decks and I'm realizing. I really don't have any multicolor decks. This must change! So I need some ideas for multicolor decks that contains 2-3 colors (non splash colors). I want the deck to be competitive in casual legacy (so no cards like force of will) and against similarly priced decks. Lets keep the maximum price of the deck to about 100 USD please, my wallet would much appreciate it
You could perhaps use bonds of faith as a pacifism or to boost double strikers. Also if you want to be silly you can use Mother of Runes with a couple of Palace guard
Hi, in advance sorry for bad English.
So I'm looking trough all of my magic decks for possible upgrades as I have been on a break for a while. As I was looking online for improvements for my burn deck (found a few) I realized that even the high end burn decks are dirt cheap compared to lots of other deck types. Since I only have one red deck I thought it would be funny to create more than one, especially funny for multiplayer 3-6 (twin Flame Rift in Two Headed Giant :P) or if the decks are used against each other.
There are currently 4 edition of the deck, all with their seperate deck lists, names and gimmick - feel free to give suggestion for anyone of them or general advice for the deck type.
In addition to advice on the decks I want to know if there is any other good card draw in red that could fit nicely in with Browbeat as these decks loves to use cards. And if you guys think that Infernal Plunge is a viable option for the creature and the steal edition of the deck.
So I'm looking trough some of my magic decks and I found this knight deck. It seems to be a little inflexible and could use an upgrade. Would appreciate any suggestions on how to make that happen. As far as I can see the deck is to slaved by it's theme. Also I think that serra avenger might be to weak to run in the deck, and the deck should probably run 22-23 lands.
*Note* Revised deck posted as reply nr 4. to this thread.
So I was looking trough my deck's and I found a stoneforge mystic deck. The deck was a bit on the weak side to be honest, so I'm trying to spice it up a little bit. Here is my preliminary revised deck - feel free to pitch in with suggestions - it probably need some
Other card that I'm curious if could be good in such a deck are Seraph of the Sword and Auriok glaivemaster
hi,
As part of my attempt to upgrade my magic collection I'm looking into new decks to acquire and how to upgrade my pre existing ones, and this is one of the deck's I'm gonna upgrade. The deck is simple - if a creature is on the board, it is fair game As it stands the deck has more than 60 cards, and I'm not sure what to cut and what not to cut. Would also appreciate any card suggestion that could work well in the deck. The deck also include a maybe board which contains some of the cards I have been considering, but are not sure about.
The deck is gonna be designed for casual gameplay ranging from 2-6 players. I'm considering having a "sideboard" so I can swap the deck from regular 1v1 to multiplayer 3-6 players by doing some tweeks. Maybe increasing the amount of Avatar of Woe for multiplayer.
First of all anyone stop me if I'm messing up the rulings for the deck - still getting used to how this deck abuses the stack.
To answer Mr. Sinister; the only creatures I plan on blinking are Blade Splicer and Flickerwisp. Since you didn't understand why Geist of Saint Traft is in the deck I'l try to explain the consept of the deck. The deck is using Sundial of the Infinite to mess up the stack while stuff is going on. For instance Geist of Saint Traft is attacking, giving me a token and whops, there ended Sundial of the Infinite my turn forcing the confused angel token to remain in play. Another example is if Venser, the Sojourner blinks Oblivion Ring or Journey to Nowhere, as soon as these cards leave their return ability goes on the stack, and what would you know Sundial of the Infinite ended my turn. Because of the wording my exiled permanent will come back at the enemy end step exiling something else. Also I plan to use the blink ability on Reality Acid as it will survive the blinking while taking out an enemy permanent.
Hope this will explain things better. Might need another fabricate or something to ensure I get [card]Sundial of the Infinite
[/card] as the deck is infinitly more powerful if it is present on the table
Hi,
I'm coming back to magic after a break and looking to fix some of my old decks and get some new ones. One deck I'm considering getting is a blink deck. I haven't decided on lands yet, but what do you guys think so far?
I guess my only question would be how you plan on winning after blowing everything up. Angelic Destiny attached to a Weathered Wayfarer? Also, most of your board wipes are 4 drops or higher. I know this is a casual deck, but after you run it a couple of times people will surely start going after you, and I don't see any sort of defense to this prior to turn 4.
Think you misunerstood my post. The cards in the deck list are only cards I'm CONSIDERING using, I'm not gonna run all of those. What I need help with are to find cards to use which can work well in a board wipe deck or cards that are better boardwipes than what I have.
Like one possibility that recently came to mind was to use stoneforge mystic with swords and Batterskull as equipments are unaffected by my board wipes. some other creatures I have found that might prove useful are Akki Raider and Loyal Cathar
Also after some thinking - I now have a ruling question about the deck that I can't figure out myself. Lets say that I have played Martyr of Sands on turn, Then on turn two I play Nomads en-Kor. I end my turn having one untaped land at the ready for Martyr of Sands ability. My opponent attacks me with one 5/5 and one 2/2. I decide to apply Nomads en-Kor 5 times targeting Martyr of Sands and the abilities resolve. Then I prossed to block the 5/5 with Nomads en-Kor and the 2/2 with Martyr of Sands, before combat damage phase I activates Martyr of Sands ability causing it to be sacrificed. Now my question is what happends to the damage done by the 5/5? Will it be the equivalent of what is happening to the 2/2 or will it smash my Nomads en-Kor or will the damage just vanish because of an invalid target or something. Also what will happend if the 5/5 has trample?
I always wanted myself a land destruction deck and a board wipe deck so I tough, hey why not combine those two - I know not the best idea, but it is a fun one ^_^. The plan will be to use board wipes, including land wipes and have a deck that has better recovery than whoever I'm playing. So basicly my deck will be better suited to deal with all the disruption going on and win on that. So far I have found some pretty awesome destruction spells, but I'm not sure which to use and what to use to recovery from my own nukes. The cards I'm considering running are in my deck list, any suggestion on the deck would be most appreciated. Please keep in mind that it will be a casual deck so it will not be fighting high end tournament competitive decks. It will also se gameplay with 2-6 players and if we could keep the price per card to a maximum of around 30 usd that would be much appreciated.
