I am leaning the same way when thinking about the Zen fetches. I don't think that, in a set like this, they will use 5 of the rare slots for a cycle of rare lands. I'm just of the mindset that they really need reprinted somewhere.
I didn't remember about the "pre-Modern" part of the announcement. I think I just saw the Force reprint, and was happy to have one of my favorite cards re-printed in modern card face (and not just as a judge promo). Thanks so much for letting me know.
As far as the EV of the set, yeah, you're right there. There are a bunch of other cards that I'd rather see reprinted than lands that hopefully (eventually) will see a reprint. Things like JtMS that cannot see reprint in MM3 are probably better reprinted here, and the Zendikar fetches saved for MM3.

I had a huge reply written up to this whole thing, then noticed the admin's post. My husband made a joke about this whole thing. We should have known it was fake - red was getting WAY too much value, here. LOL!
I don't feel like beating a dead horse, so...to try to get this thing back on EMA - does anyone think that there *is* room for the ZEN fetches in EMA?

We did consider possibility of someone making a financial decision based on this April Fool's prank. In the end, we decided to go through with it because not all April Fool's events need to identify themselves loudly as such, and anyone who was going to make any major financial decisions in the next little while would presumably be waiting for the banned/restricted list update first.

As someone who *did* make financial decisions based off of your lie: you argument has no credibility. These cards are *reprints,* and as such, are not things we should be concerned about being banned/restricted. Predominantly, what I am speaking about are the Zendikar fetches. There is absolutely and utterly no way that the Zen fetches are being banned in any format - so, when I saw from a global moderator that "the bulk of the list is true," I went ahead and purchased Zen fetches before they shot up even higher. I really don't feel like spending $100 per Scalding Tarn, and, since both a global mod and an administrator endorsed the list as "mostly true," I felt fairly safe putting my trust in the credibility of this list. The mods of this site putting their backing behind something like this list *gave it credibility.* Now, for me at least, this site's credibility is shot.
Am I embarrassed by my decisions? Well, honestly, no. I trusted a site that, in the past, has always weighed its decisions carefully when dealing with the financial side of things. I didn't think this site, and the moderators and admins thereof, would completely lie about expensive cards being reprinted (Imperial Recruiter, again not likely to be banned) or not reprinted (Zen fetches).
Are my feelings hurt? Well, whenever you have trusted someone for a long time and they let you down, your feelings are bound to get hurt. I was a member (albeit under a different name) of "that other rumor site" before it went belly up. I joined this site way back then (again, different account), and have seen how carefully you watch your Rumor Mill. A global mod's/admin's endorsement of a spoiler is a stamp of approval - especially when you say, "the bulk of this list is real."
Luckily, I can afford this (or else I wouldn't have made the purchase). What about the guy who makes minimum wage and sees Imperial Recruiter being reprinted, and puts his trust in the mods and admins of this site to realize that people *do* make financial decisions based off of their word? Yes, this list, and the endorsement of it, was irresponsible. Of course it was.

There are the Ravnica bounce lands, but that doesn't make sense, since they're all from Ravnica.

I am a homeschooling mother of 3, and have actually used MtG as an educational resource. My son didn't want to learn to read, but he wanted to learn to play Magic...so I taught him to read using MtG cards. Luckily, my husband and I have played for some time (I started with Odyssey, he started long before that), so we could teach him the game, as well. My daughters then wanted to learn, too. The ability for them to think critically and creatively has increased and their math skills have gotten a lot better. They also get along better - normal sibling rivalry can be worked out over a game of Commander. The biggest downfall is that this game is *expensive*, LOL.

I would highly encourage you to try to put together some sort of program, with the knowledge that some parents may be upset. I would think, though, that after explaining the purpose of the program, most parents would appreciate the idea.

That's another reason why I liked the system before, the current system has no support for Promos, exactly like MTGFamiliar, and there is currently no way to search for foil wants or foil haves, so the foil function is basically useless. Also doesn't help that I still have no clue how to make them foil on the list.

I liked Salvation over Deckbox because it was better, but now it is leagues worse. I usually am motivated to update my list every couple days, but now that I have to jump through all of these hoops I'll probably drop by once a week to update after FNM's

I believe to make them foil, you need to put [ foil ] [ /foil ] tags around the list/foil card, with the spaces removed. (A foil LotV would look like [ foil ]1x Liliana of the Veil[ /foil ][ * ], again, spaces removed.) This is, at least, how I did it. Hope it helps.
