They won't be up at midnight. They might possibly be up by the next day but most players avoid buying from non-LGS retailers, so there's not really a lot of demand normally in the card sections of such places.
It depends, recently WalMart and Target in my area have previously put out products the day before the official release. From my understanding, however, WotC has issued warnings that they would stop selling to the big box stores that keep doing it.
Exile X target creatures. For each creature exiled this way, its controller puts a 2/2 green Boar creature token onto the battlefield.
Would one be able to exile from the graveyard?
No, Curse of the Swine can only affect creatures on the battlefield. For something to affect creatures in the graveyard, it would have to specifically state graveyard, such as Deathrite Shaman or Scavenging Ooze.
If I have Whip of Erebos out and I activate it to bring a creature back, if I activate Legion's Initiative can I permanently bring back the creature?
Yes, if you activate Legion's Initiative prior to the end step, the creature brought back by Whip of Erebos will still return at the beginning of the next combat.
I feel this is because this art, unlike any of the other, focuses on her female curves as well. The first Elspeth, Knight Errant was a powerfully built lady with a lot of armour and a bigger waist as well. Elspeth Tirel kind of continued and made her look even more like the ''mom of all planeswalkers'' with the regent pose, long shadowy dress and heavy weapon.
For this new art, they put her on an anorexic diet, and focused on her waist by picturing her with the side of her waist in front of the camera. The downward sloping ''mini-skirt armour'' amplifies this effect. This makes her look a lot younger in conjunction with that, well, 'way' that the artist drew her face.
They did the same anorexic thing to Chandra btw, in the digital version used to promote DotP. This elspeth is also digitally created, while for the Chandra card art they at least had the decency to make a normally drawn version.
Art, as I have come to expect, is superlative. One thing confuses me though. Bronze Sable has the creature type satyr when the art and name appears to be a weasel. I mean a cursory google searching finds pictures of weasels. Am I missing something here?
Edit: Well pictures of weasels and some possibly NSFW stuff. You have been warned.
It looks kind of similar to Lumbering Satyr to be completely honest... Someone must have had a sense of humor that day.
Elspeth IS a rebellious teen, she was all knightly in Bant because it was make-believe war, as soon as it got real she went away scared, got depressed and ended up pit-fighting in Urborg before Ajani pulled her out of it, then tried to be a hero again helping Koth, got scared again and ran, then came back when all was lost so Koth most proabably sacrificed himself helping her get away again and now she's in Theros not knowing what to do and still trying to get away from her hero's call from what was said at PAX.
1. Since Zegana enters the Battlefield with X counters, she won't be on the battlefield when X is determined and so cannot "turn on" Thassa.
2. Zegana would enter as a 1/1 since X is determined before she hits the battlefield and she even doesn't trigger herself ("another").
So i would say, she enters as a 1/1 and you draw one card.
That is correct. Thassa would have to be a creature prior to Zegana entering the battlefield in order to trigger, and she does not trigger herself, either.
The fates should NOT have been tap abilities but should have instead said "use each ability no more than once each turn". In the mythology (and picture) they're each a different role/ability, it makes little sense that because 1 of the 3 fates did something, neither of the other two fates could...
This makes sense from a flavor point of view. There are three fates, though they all share one eye (and tooth). So tapping, in essence, is the eye passing from one to another.
Lots of other sites get their info from MTG Salvation, and in particular, our spoiler. Based on this thread, I went and changed the name in the spoiler to "Spellheart Chimera". (Still with a '~', of course.) So it is highly unlikely that those other sites are independent sources.
I didn't notice the change in the spoiler page until right after I posted that
Unfortunately Sealock Monster is number 62 and Shipbreaker Kraken is number 63 leaving no room for Serum Visions. Ironically enough the spot between Ordeal of Thassa and Prognostic Sphinx is still open so technically there is still hope for Preordain...
Interesting creature. Because of the sacrifice mechanic it won't be possible to 2-for-1 this creature unless the method of destroying him is on board (i.e. telegraphed).
We'll see what new toys this set brings.
Too bad rancor is rotating because deathtouch + trample is awesome. Maybe in the enchantment block it will see a reprint?
Deathtouch + First Strike is even better.
Ethereal Armor would work extremely well with this card.
I'm starting to see this name pop up in different places now over the last hour. So either A) This is the name of the card, or B) All these other sites are getting their cues from this thread

Other than those, Two-Headed Cerberus did a lot of work.
A much better explanation, thank you.

You forgot the bell-bottom greaves.

Close-ish.
