All of these films Bent My Mind in one way or another. Whether it was Philosophically, Visually, Structurally or Spiritually. Each one challenged and amazed me on some level.
Got a chance to try out Oona's Prowler today at a 7 man tourney. I am running two at the moment and in several games they shined. They do feel a bit awkward from time to time and ended up being sided out against twin, but they saved my life several times against Geist of Saint Traft in CoCo and against all manner of threats in affinity. I don't think they have a place as a four of in the Obliterator build but they did provide a lot of interesting moments.
The fact that Oona's Prowler has flying protected me from all manner of threats. Late game my opponent rarely had the cards to discard to her, and early game they wasted all manner of removal on her, clearing the way for Phyrexian Obliterator and Lavaclaw Reaches beats.
Overall I lost 1-2 to affinity due to a misplay(I rarely play competitively and got hella nervous in the final match, opponent even told me afterwards that I would have won if I didn't make one stupid mistake). Went undefeated against a Collected Company deck and a R/w lock-down deck. Lived the dream of a Batterskull'd Phyrexian Obliterator twice. heard all manner of moans, groans, oohs and aahs, and had a great time all around!
Hi yall, I have been running the Obliterator version of this deck for about a month now and absolutely love watching the hope drain from an opponents face as I remove card after card from their hand/field. I am also a huge fan of the way the more active posters in this thread have kept the discussion thoughtful, encouraging and fun! So thanks and stuff!
There has been a lot of talk about the 2cmc spot in the deck's curve. While Terminate and Wrench mind are great cards for the build, Sometimes I wish I had a more proactive option. I was wondering if anyone has considered/tried Oona's Prowler in that slot? Early on it can coax additional discard while later it bolts folks faces. Kinda like a more fragile Shrieking Affliction
The downside is it gives the opponent a choice(sometimes) and activates their removal a bit earlier than the larger threats in the deck.
