The End of an Era

Assasin's Trophy is obviously an awesome addition to BGx but I would like to use three at first(Like Delver's list) instead of just jamming four.
Gotta remember that the land can be very relevant, just like with Path. I'm interested to see how the meta shifts in response to AT.

I don't think dorks are the way to go. We don't have DRS, Noble Hierarch would be our best option and she only makes green for us.
I tried Noble Abzan last year and I haaaaated that deck. Regular dorks don't belong in BG/x imo.

We're seeing the meta adjust. At the end of the day we're a fair midrange deck and can very easily draw the "wrong part of the deck" any given match.
The linear strategies and Tron/Scapeshift don't really have that problem and then stuff like Hollow One can just have the nuts.

BBE is an amazing magic card, she's a hasty attacker and an extra "free" card but Jund/BGx's strength is it's flexibility.
Maybe it's worth deviating from the typical 4 BBE lists and seeing if we can find other lists that can put up results.
The meta will ebb and flow, one week a 25 land BBE man land heavy list is the right call, while the next a 24 land removal heavy list with a different 4 drop is right.

I don't want to say that the sky is falling but rather don't be afraid to experiment within reason.

There's nothing wrong with brewing, but you have to remember that everyone approaches the game differently. Some players are grinding for an upcoming GP or IQ and don't want to waste their time playing against something they isn't even remotely on the competitive radar, which they find frustrating. It doesn't give them any sort of pass for them to be rude but that's the logic behind it.

And just because someone net-decks or is extremely competitive doesn't mean that they "don't like Magic" that is such an asinine thing to say. Some people like to create brews or rogue decks, some play purely casual games, others like to master their strategy of choice, tune it to their perception of the higher level of the meta and enjoy chasing wins. It's totally up to you to find the approach you like the best.

I've been in your opponents shoes. For someone like me that wants to make sure I get a lot of reps against decks I'll see in later rounds of a tournament so I can fine tune my 75, it's very annoying when I get put up against a random left field brew that would never make it in a big tournament, and it has tilted me plenty of times. But, I understand that Magic is what you make it so if you enjoy your deck then more power to you.

Mainly online. I'm getting closer to graduating for my masters and working on school work and job hunting.

I do recommend jund players trying my 60.

Reid suggested the 4th creatureland, so I certainly think it has merit. I played just 4x matches on mtgo, ended up winning, the value is too much.

Bbe, tracker and Bob is hilarious value in fair matchups.

My current mainboard is pretty close to your's but I'm going to give your 60 a spin on MTGO if I can make time between class work.

I like Treetop a lot individually, it's very useful and has pulled it's weight well. But I cut it when I went from 25 to 24 land. If Reid and yourself have had good luck with the 4th I'll certainly give it a try. I always just ran 3 Ravine with 24 lands traditionally.

Tracker has to be insane in grindy fair matchups. What kinds of cuts did you make to fit her in the SB? Have you missed Spellbomb?
I think 1x Kommand and 1x LtLH is a fine split to start with. There's certainly times when both cards range from amazing to meh.

Also random thought, I just can't justify some of these lists still running Dreadbore. Jace isn't the boogeyman we thought he could of been, or atleast not yet since the right shell is still a mystery.

I continue to be so impressed with this deck. I just beat a deck, while not meta, was so heavily slanted to destroy fair matchups and have overwhelming 2 for 1's.

It was some standard take on Temur with Supreme Verdicts, at least 2x copies of Sphinx Revelation, Kitchen Finks, Resto Angel and Thragtusk.

I literally managed to power games 2 and 3 past him. The terminates have been relevant in testing.

I'm really messing around with the sideboard, but had a nice time with

I'm just playing around with the sideboard. I thought Hazoret was what I wanted, but I was extremely impressed with Tracker.

I'm tempted not having the 2nd Kitchen Finks since I have Tracker for fair matches, and I'm wondering if I need THAT much life gain against burn.

I see a lot of merit in having a pulse in this sideboard.

The 2nd Anger is just because I'm only hedging for Dredge and Hollow one with that.

Truth be told, outside of the essentials like Grudge, Grim and Fulminator, I have no idea what the sideboard should look like.

The curve's, early game and opening hands have been fantastic. Having turn 1 removal and getting to play a 2 drop creature with removal on turn 3 continues to be amazing.

Chopping to 1x K Command has reduced those awful feel bad moments when you see two early in a game. In fact, just seeing less 3x drops has been a relief.

I'm convinced at this point MTGSalvtions list is better tuned than the lists the pros and reddit/facebook users are posting.

I love that 60 for sure. Have you been testing online or in paper? How has four manlands been? I'm always a little hesitant of awkward openers when we have 4 tapped sources, but all the one drops should help alleviate that it seems.

I'm pretty happy with 24 lands and the lower curve(like Ecto's list). The initial BBE lists that essentially shaved discard/removal and went to 25 lands felt bad in the early turns sometimes where I really missed the extra removal or discard. We need to survive until atleast Turn 4 to have a shot at attempting to cast BBE, the lower curve sure helps get there.

I like the 3/3 split between Bolt and Push. I felt that one Push wasn't enough and went up to a second, shaving a bolt for a third is certainly not a bad idea.

I don't like zero terminate, it's such a good safety net that I think it deserves atleast one slot though I can see trimming the second.

Additional Thoughts on 14 vs 15 creatures?

BBE preferences? Steve Argyle's art is so much better than the original in my eyes. Elf herself looks a lot tougher and the background really paints a true "Jund" picture.

-What are your basics of choice (as in what sets) for this deck and why?
I really like the APAC lands, but for the sake of foils I'm using arena. I don't really like full art lands.

    -Which Terminate do y’all run?
Foil Alara Reborn(I like the art) but I'm going to switch to foil Planeshift when I get the chance

-Has anyone sprung for fancy Lightning Bolts?
I have cheap foil Bolts, but they will be upgraded to textless.

-Does everyone run the FNM BBE’s? If not, is it because you prefer another set/art or you just can’t find them at the moment?
I use my signed FNM BBE's. The art is soooo much better than Alara's.

That Infect match was pretty rough for Jadine, but it was still nice to see two Jund decks make the top 32.
Infect is one of those matchups where the lower number of Push(compared to before) and lack of Terminate could certainly be felt. But realistically how many Infect players do we expect to run into all things considering?

Decided to play Ecto's list at my LGS tonight. Ended up 0-2 tonight, my local meta is so inbred against Jund it's insane.
Glad I have MTGO to grind on. 24 land seemed fine with the extra one drops.

Glad to see other people wanting to move LtLH to the sideboard. She's too polarizing to be in the mainboard for me, great in some matchups, bad in others.
I really want a second Fatal Push, think I might trim my Abrupt Decay. Decay really hasn't been very impressive. Although a second Pulse would be nice as well.

Still can't decide between 24 vs 25 lands.

I agree with Ecto's point about BBE. She's a huge addition to the deck but we shouldn't warp the deck totally around her. We still need to make sure we're able to survive and keep pace until we get to the point where we can actually cast her. Four turns is a lot in Modern, trimming cards like Push and Discard can matter a lot in the early game.

Also Spsiegel1987 you were right about the Jund FB groups, I rolled my eyes many of times reading through them.

Reid running two Pulse and a Dreadbore with five man lands and no Push's really sticks out to me. He must really be gunning for Jace?
I can see a second Pulse or the first Dreadbore but not both, that's a lot of sorcery speed removal.

Yeah bro. It's honestly good to be flexible and own Abzan and jund. I find it foolish when gbx players refuse to play the other version.

I own every major staple and own all rj3 highly played wide board staples

I think GBx players need a "Jund Box" so to speak of all the staples between the variants depending on the meta.
I hoping to make it to my LGS on Monday and Cascade into K-Commands and all the good stuff!
