My partner and I also opened Agent of the Fates at our 2HG pre-release and went undefeated significantly thanks to his ridiculous power. Every time it hit the board we began to take over the game. We also had good success with having one deck with some early drops and heroic triggers (WB with Agent, Fabled Hero) to apply good pressure, and the other GU with control cards to stop them doing much and big monstrous fatties toward the end.
To be honest we found the slower deck to be a tad TOO slow - 2HG seemed much faster than 1v1 sealed, and we only once got off a big monstrous win (last game, shipbreaker kraken). Very fun format.
