It seems back in 2002 (right when i got into the game) they changed the reserved list in a big way, added cards, took off cards, omitted entire raritys, added new sets... pretty much everything everyone wants them to do right now with some of the bigger cards.
Why can't they just do it again?
According to the article, "overwhelming public support" got cards like Demonic Tutor, and Regrowth off the list.
The naya deck from my set (and of course the one i played with first)
Had some pretty bad pressure marks on the tops of the cards, at least 75% of them had 3 to 5 white "chips" on the border. Nothing a sharpie can't fix, but still kinda disappointing. All the other decks were fine though.
How much of this is hype?
I mean, since this card is going to single handedly make getting the Mind Seize deck impossible to get (for msrp, and be sold out at every big box store), how much of his price can really be contributed to hype?
What are people opinions on this guy long term, short term and after he hits the market?
Is he really going to be the "ooze" of this set?
Card sharks hunt like real sharks, they smell the blood.
Chances are once you've traded one and shown that you keep track of prices, they won't go back to you anymore. Thats a good way of easily avoiding those kind of people.
As for normal trades, pick a site, and stick with it. Your price examples sound pretty close to scg, which while i despise, many others use because its the easy "name brand" approach.
As long as both partys are using the same guide for pricing, there shoulden't be many problems. Condition is sometimes an issue, sp should be 15-20% less off the cards price.
Anyone looking for straight up trades wouldn't have a problem with these guidelines.
Card sharks will base prices on:
Condition (tiny unnoticeable blemishes)
popularity
formats
art
if its out of stock
possibility of reprints
etc
I like how everyone misses the advantageous math in paying the life. Let's look at a no brainer time to play this.
Your opponent has 17 1/1 White/Red Soldier Tokens. Do you pay the 1 life to kill them all? YES (Because the alternative is a swing for 17)
Your opponent has a 2/2 Rakdos Cakler, a 2/2 Ash Zealot, a 3/3 Boros Reckoner, and a 3/3 Hellrider. Do you pay the 3 life to kill them all? YES (Because the alternative is swing for 10)
Your opponent has any Eldrazi? YES
Whatever amount you're paying, unless they are running a deck of big butted blockers, is going to be equal or less than the amount of punch in the face you're about to get hit with.
I noticed that there's a lot of people selling these unused codes on Ebay.
I suspect that the promotion is over and all the promo Oozes have been given away long ago. Is there any value to these codes at all? Is there even the slightest chance that you might be able to get an Ooze if you have the code?
Why are people still buying codes then? Are they just getting scammed?
seeing as how i can print out an infinite amount of the codes and just switch a few numbers/letters. Yes, people are getting scammed for sure.
Not to mention, the code is useless if you have nowhere to redeem it.
You AREN'T insightful, you aren't funny or witty. Nobody gives a sh*t about who you think would make good actors for the characters.
Just stop.
It's alright, it effectively gets me to stop posting, which looks like a good way to "exile" somebody.
I really just like to be able to use the market street cafe, which i can't view without an account.
So this can be deleted now, i shall remain a silent specter.

Ja-He-Gee
Gah-E-Gee
Ja-He-Jai

then theres the question of a silent "j" in there, I really don't know.
Thoughts?

Right now it's selling for about $35 to $50 and sets from $150 to $200.
It's sold out on scg.

Just avoid THOSE people. And SCG.
second example is 14, not 10.
AKA:
Nobody cares.
You better check the definition of "bulk rare"
Even though your response is sarcastic, that card hit $3.00, for an uncommon, and for it to rise like it did, like 250%. Thats huge.
Someone with 3 playsets suddenly has a new fetchland for modern.

its banned.
not even close.
is there a point to this?
Nvm, the first part says "only on an opponents turn" so i assumed only on an opponents declare blocks step.
Still a bad card.
