    He ditched the energy package for better stand alone cards like flow and defiance. not sure why youd run only 2 tormenting voice with the tempers nd bombardments but sure nice to see maindeck 4 fevered visions/4 collective defiance is still viable tho. The unsubstantiates seem odd, disperse or negate seem like better utility but its interesting. My testing with chandra torch is limited but ive found it clunks my lines as an early draw and id rather see payoff immediately out of a mid game topdeck worked for this cali guy tho so theres somethin to it eh?

    The deck is solid, but admittedly the sb is geared to hate the 3 most popular decks (marvel, vehicles, and u/x/x control) and not much else. It does really well against anything without gideon, dovin baan, or fast hands into lifegain obv.

    At least 2 maindeck negate are a necessity. They deal with copters, marvels, removal on things, and planeswalkers. Dont forget stormchaser mage in low to the ground builds. Also, SB deadlock trap seems too good with energy not to consider as long as youre not running other artifacts or colorless stuff (like tower)that will reward colorless hate cards.. As far as tower, its too slow and oftens feels like the dome mode of collective defiance with suspend 2. Tower also validates all the marvel/emrakul hate thats creeping into maindecks ala the singleton ceremonious rejection in the notorious grixis list. Towers just not worth it imo, and even stormchaser maindeck would be more to my liking.

    Immolating glare in multiples is a must imo, at least 3. The emerge package is nice but you might do better with a more typical end-game, angel of invention nd/or sphinx of the final word with the gearhulk, making room for glare and stuff like skywhalers shot, and a few more counters.

    Is the best way to build it the old 'Rites variant or is there a cooler/cheaper way? I keep playing burn in modern and it's starting to make me feel bad about it lol anybody got a cheap reanimator skeleton or cheap cool graveyard strategy they could guide me towards? Thanks dudes!

    Do you guys remeber Flores talking about the red mirror match and all its intricate playout? It's thought of as an easy deck to play, which it is in ways. but to play correctly and maximizing damage at ALL times, not just turn 1-5, is the difficult thing for me. the curve cant be as low as the old days so its hard to pace and let a game go ten turns still havin a burn spell, but you must have faith in your draws and overall deckbuild\playstyle. oh how things have changed, its not as fast anymore because the card advantage cant last in a mono red deck in todays standard. but it just so happens RDW is the one of the cheapest decks to build right now, so let's discuss the deck and its philosophy and variations.....hit it daddeh jacks

    well, i recently began a U\G/B budgetmaze deck, sadly i have no snappy casters or shock lands ha but when i finish it im gonna FNM it and post on here, but yeah 4 MULCH, 4 gatekeeper vine, some number of supreme verdict which is abit off color but i own 2 so iput them in.putrify and doomblade, maybe ratchet bomb for removal, and maybe duress..i like it personally just because gates are so slow it helps stall in a way. and the rest blue with negate, think twice, and other counters and draw with 1-2 aetherling and\or some other alternate nonmaze threat. i run 2 of all gates except simic, golgari, and dimir which i go 4, 3, and 3 respectively. like i said im on a budget so our builds differ. but its fun to play but kinda slow, if you can curve it out and not give up too much ground it can be suprising.

    4 gatekeeper vine,
    4 negate
    4 think twice
    3 putrify
    3 doomblade
    3 cyclonic rift
