I didn't see that ad Nauseam is an instant! Fail. What other tutors could get it? Also, if just one ad Nauseam resolves, you will most likely win like most other glass cannons.
I have been brainstorming a new Glass Cannon deck idea. Like all other glass cannon decks, force of will is tough. But this deck is hilarious to play with and against.
The deck works by casting Ad Nauseam, leaving one black mana floating. Then, because you have a lot of low cost artifacts, draw into multiple Disciple of the Vault and at least one Arcbound Ravager. Then, play everything, sacrifice, and win.

This deck is an izzet burn storm explosion combo. It starts of like normal UR tempo or devotion, but wait a minute... There's 4 nykthos. Why? Because this deck also has a combo kill. It's called Enter the Infinite. You play normal control, tempo, whatever when BOOM! You Enter a whole new world of possibilities. Once you cast Enter, you can use the nykthos legend rule to "combo", either casting a billion spells with a guttersnipe or dropping 4 Masters. A fun synergy is scry+ epic experiment, which can give you a 3 mana Enter the Infinite!
I have been playing with the devotion mechanic in modern since long before I discovered this thread. My fine-tuned build rushes out creatures really fast and having 2 khalni hydras turn 3 is not uncommon. What I really think you should include is lotus cobra. It is absolutely insane after t1 mana dork. My favorite play so far with it was:
T1: land, arbor elf
T2: tap elf and land, BTE, BTE,BTE lotus cobra nykthos, tap, lotus cobra.
T3 craterhoof.
69 damage on the draw t3.
HOW IT WORKS:
With a Cloudstone Curio and an ETB trigger on the battlefield, cast BTE. Then cast another with the mana. Using Curio, return the first to your hand. Float the mana into the other BTE. Rinse and repeat. Wit the ETB effect, you trigger infinite time and win the game.
THE DECK CORE AND POSSIBLE CARD CHOICES:
CORE:
4 burning-tree emissary: Part of the combo. Also accelerates into 2 cmc things as a 2/2 for 0.
4 priest of urabrask: Also a combo piece. Can eccelerat into other things such as Pod.
4 Birthing Pod: Finds combo pieces uncounterably. Its amazing.
Ostracize only hits opponents. Thoughtseize is almost as much as Entomb. I mentioned dark ritual. Thanks about horrifying revelation, though, it is good with brainstorm.
Ideas unbound is terrible for the deck because it costs UU and you don't discard immediately. Also, Brainstorm is typically good no matter what. Don't like it? fine. Ponder and Preordain. Also, this is supposed to be a budget deck. I won't tell people to make their mana base be 4 polluted delta,
4 verdant catacombs, 4 marsh flats, 4 underground sea, and 2 swamp. It's stupid.

Current decklist:
I am considering faerie impostor because I can make tons of horsies that way. Also note that pyromancer's tokens are elemental.

THE COMBO:
CARDS:
Burning-tree Emissary or Priest of Urabrask plus Cloudstone Curio plus ETB trigger. (such as Purphoros or Essence Warden)

3 Chord of Calling: Finds combo.
4 Cloudstone Curio: Part of combo.
4 Fabricate: Now we can find Curio too.
4 ETB Triggers: These should be creatures. They should also gain life or do damage or give more creatures or something.
4 Kitchen Finks: It's just good. It also makes your opponent think you're playing kiki or melira pod.
List of ETB triggers:
Other card choices:
Pretty much anything in the kiki or melira deck that isn't black.
