A planeswalker without an inherent means of gaining loyalty better have a damn good reason to be that way (i.e., be Sarkhan the Mad).

My advice: Make the -2 a +1 and jack up the loyalty costs of the other two abilities accordingly.

Also - what plane is this you refer to?

That's a possibility, I just figured Dack wouldn't be the type to stay around for long unless he has a reason to, and that reason is you bringing him more crew.

Also, one I'm currently working on. But it's a secret, hush.

    Captain Dack 2UR
    Planeswalker - Dack (M)
Whenever a Pirate enters the battlefield under your control, put a loyalty counter on Captain Dack.
\-2/: Create a 1/1 red Pirate creature token with haste.
\-3/: You get an emblem with "Whenever a creatue you control deals combat damage to a player, plunder that player". (Exile the top card of that player's library. You may play that card. If you don't, put it into its owner's graveyard.)
\-8/: Search your library for any number of Pirate cards, reveal them, and put them onto the battlefield. Then shuffle your library.

In a sea world where Vehicles are Ships, not cars...

    Foretop Lookout G
    Creature - Human Scout (U)
Whenever CARDNAME crews a Vehicle, you may look at the top X cards of your library, where X is that Vehicle's power. Choose up to one land card from among them, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then, put the rest at the bottom of your library in random order.
    "Land, captain! I see land!"

So...how does this work with Improvise? I cast Battle at the Bridge with this on the field and tap 3 artifacts for it, will they get untapped with this, virtually making the Bridge a 1 mana card?

I think it's what is behind Tezzeret in Battle at the Bridge as well. It is a legendary artifact so it makes sense.

That'd mean that Bolas sent one of his minions to Kaladesh to destroy the portal for whatever reason. At least that's what Dark Intimations seems to be implying.

Uh...is it just me or this device looks eerily similar to whatever is in pieces in the art of Dark Intimations?

Seems like a pretty basic list but I want some second thoughts anyways. Since a time frame finally opened up for me, I'm gonna try to finally venture into standard, and this seemed like an incredibly fun (and surprisingly cheap) deck.

If Breya is really what she more or less reads she does, then oh boy yes please. Hopefully the cost for the ability is 1 instead of tapping.

"Those characters are GAY I GOTTA HAVE IT OMG OMG OMG".

Guys, please. Seriously. If I said "I want this deck because it has a girl on it" I'd be insulted :^)

In addition to being prejudiced and ignorant, your analogy is completely flawed and inapplicable on a number of different levels:

    1) The reason why you're not excited about a card that "has a girl on it" is because there are COUNTLESS Magic the Gathering cards that depict women (the majority of whom are attractive women that have been objectified for the pleasure of a straight male audience) or heterosexual pairings, while this is literally THE FIRST AND ONLY TIME in Magic's twenty-something year history that openly/explicitly LGBT characters have appeared on a card. If we lived in a world that had this kind of representation for gay characters, people wouldn't be saying: "OMG OMG OMG."

    2) Given that this level of visibility for gay relationships in popular culture was very difficult to imagine even just 10 years ago, WotC's decision to showcase a gay relationship not only on one of their cards but on the front of their product is a very big deal to a large community that has been long relegated to invisibility or, at best, the sidelines. This is particularly relevant to genre fiction and gaming, which have an especially significant lack of gay representation despite tending towards large LGBT fanbases.

    3) Moreover, the fan desire to support gay characters is also a way that fans can explicitly financially support WotC's decision to be more representationally inclusive. Since a huge proportion of MTG product packaging depicts beautiful and/or sexualized women in the cover art, purchasing any single one of those does not in any way send some kind of equivalent message to WotC for straight relationships.

Please think through your comments or educate yourself before embarrassing yourself in this bigoted manner again.

    >ignorant
    >prejudiced
    >educate yourself

My favorite words. Sorry I'm not gay enough :^)

Problem is that keeping them creatures lets them self-mount, and if you wanna avoid that, it leads to strange wording. There's no card type they could be and turn into creatures like Vehicles do, unless you go for "mystical" flavor and make them baseline enchantments. But then something like "Realize" would be a better flavor than "Mount".

Did I miss something? I'm confused why one of these commanders is being called gay

    All look pretty fun

I debated on just sending you a PM on this, but decided on a regular post. I am posting this to be constructive, not judgmental or to instigate.

You may want to ween yourself off of using 'gay' as a negative, like implying a bad or unplayable commander is 'gay.' There are plenty of other ways to say that a card, person, or whatever you are talking about is not a good choice than to say that thing is 'gay.'

You...this is a troll post right?

The difference is that there are tons of women commanders and these two are the first gay male commander duo.

So? A label of someone being "gay" doesn't make their character, nor their card, better than interesting if they were straight.

It's a hard life for straight men tbh. Anyway, not really. You'd just be a Vorthos Grin

The joke is that I'm bi but whenever I go against token representation for the sake of it, I get downvoted (on Reddit) and called out. Oh well :^)

The sans-black one is most likely the guys on Guardians of Meletis while they were alive.

Great. I had this idea a few days ago and meant to put it into my current WIP set, and now it'll look like a rip-off x3 They shouldn't be able to block either though, IMO.
