Thoughts on something like this? A budget version I put together just to have another deck to play with, otherwise Bloodghastwould be included and the land base would be better.

Bloodsoaked Champion synergizes well with Falkenrath Aristocratand is another aggressive turn 1 play.
8 discard outlets with Heir of Falkenrath and Stromkirk Condemned. Maybe better to include more?
12 discard targets with Bloodsoaked ChampionAsylum Visitor[/card]Voldaren Pariah[/card]
Finishers are Voldaren pariah and Falkenrath Aristocrat. I don't think I'll be replacing Aristocrat any time soon as she's such a reliable beater. Almost always gets in damage and is difficult to remove. Pariah on the other hand I'm not so sure about. Has anyone else had success with it? Dropping it on curve with madness is great but activating it is difficult and maybe a more reliable finisher would be better? Then again the synergy with the rest of the madness cards is great.

Nice to see this deck is becoming viable. I wonder if Unburial Rites warrants a place in the 4C version? Bringing back Grave Troll just adds another win con

I'm still 50/50 on it. The thing about it is that it isn't actually a threat to win the game. In many cases it's just a 6/6 that gets chump blocked every time it attacks. There are way too many creatures in all the top decks for it to get damage through. Really wish it has trample instead of death touch

Anyone else like the idea of Watcher in the Web in the side against Token decks?

Kolaghan's Command is great against U/R. Kills Jace, Goggles and attacks their hands plus recurses your creatures. I'm still on the 4x GDD, 4x Demon deck and it's been working great. Every spell you cast can just be cast again.

I think Kolaghan's command is one of the best cards in the deck. It kills almost everything in the mono white match up, destroys clues and Hedron Crawlers, attacks your opponents hand and brings back your GDD's (or whatever else you're playing). It's perfect for this kind of deck

Yea but Grasp hits all those cards anyway. Ultimate Price is much better in the sideboard imo. Either way I guess it depends on what type of list you're running. I run a black heavy list so I can consistently hit BB but if you run a more red based list then I can see why you would run ultimate price.

Ultimate Price is a dead card against Eldrazi and misses a lot of Bant Company.

I'd highly recommend testing it out. GDD is just so good. You can tinker with the spells and play more red for example but 4x Demon and 4x GDD is crucial. GDD is probably the best 5 drop in the format and Kcommand is the best card against mono white

I was play testing (with a different deck) when I came up against a Jund list and got wrecked. Taking inspiration from the original list I tweaked it and came up with this. So far it has been amazing. Mono white stands no chance. Bant Company is a tougher matchup game 1 (50/50) but after boarding you have the advantage imo.

Every single spell in the MB is 3cmc or lower which makes GDD absolutely insane. Kolaghan's Command is also an all star especially against mono white humans. It kills nearly all their creatures plus you can make them discard for advantage or bring back a creature which is almost always going to be GDD and you can repeat the process. Plus it kills the Goggles in U/R control. The value is insane. Pulse of Murasa is also a beast. 6 mana for 3 life hoses aggro and you also get to recurse your lands and creatures meaning more GDD. To top it all off, Mindwrack Demon fills your yard so you can GDD, Pulse or Kcommand and is a very effective finisher that rams through Avacyn.
The rest of the deck is pretty standard.
-Sylvan Advocate does his thing and pumps your Hissing Quagmire.
-Single Gitrog Frog as just another threat plus card advantage.
-The planeswalkers are all great at turning on delirium and also do their jobs well. Arlin has actually been really good and you can finish the game very quick by using her + instead of - and pumping your guys.

Sideboard is up to you. I'm going with 3 roasts to improve the Eldrazi matchup and kill X/5's. Duress and Transgress against Control and Ramp/Midrange. Languish for aggro. Natural State for any enchantment based removal or artifacts like Goggles in U/R control. Clip Wings to kill Avacyn and Tithes.

Overall I'm very happy with the deck and plays as a typical Jund deck. You don't really have a bad matchup game 1 and it only gets better after side boarding. The only thing I would like to make space for is some burn so that I can finish the game in a different way. I was thinking Exquisite Firecraft but the turn 3 RR just isn't consistent with the manabase and I don't want to change it. It's really consistent as it is now hitting BB on turn 2 and only splashing for Kcommand, Goblins, Arlin and Chandra.

Baby Jace is way too good not to run a play set especially in my deck where I want to hit the madness trigger for From Under the Floorboards.

I actually cut 2 Elusive Tormentors for 2 Ob Nixillis to improve the midrange/ramp matchup. In my setup I run Ob Nixillis over Unraveler Jace but in an esper or U/W setup I'd probably run Jace since you are most likely playing more counter magic and have better overall answers like Anguished Unmaking, Stassis Snare etc. Bouncing threats and then digging for an answer is a good strategy but in my setup I don't have a catch all answer like Anguished unmaking so I'd rather just run Ob Nixillis and kill something.

Read the Bones vs Painful Truths is a toss up imo. Both are pretty great but I find that I can consistently hit 3 colors for truths which I think is just strictly better than getting 2 from Bones.

Clip Wings only hits Kolaghan. Still have Tormentor, Zombies and very rarely but possibly Ruinous Path awaken land. You can also return Kolaghan with his command.
The mana base works out quite well. Maybe you can tweak here and there but it's basically U/B with splash red. I find that you can consistently hit BB for Grasp and have 3 colours by turn 3 for Flames and Truths.
Painful truths is very good. 3 cards for 3 mana is great value although I'd prefer it to be instant speed. I'm not a fan of the other blue draw spells apart from Anticipate.
Delirium is pretty hard to achieve with this deck and I don't want to give my opponent the option of sacking his worst creature. Bant Company and Mono White spew out creatures very fast and can just sac their 1/2 or whatever when you want to be hitting Avacyn or Angel of Tithes etc.

The reason I'm splashing red is for Radiant Flames. U/R only has access to Flames and U/B only has access to Languish. One is usually a turn too slow and the other can't hit things like Avacyn and all the x4's.

I'm going to tweak the sideboard to improve the mid range match up. X/5's are proving very difficult to get rid of

I've been working on a deck to take care of Bant Company and Mono White Humans. It's UB based with splash red for Radiant Flames. Running both Radiant Flames and Languish gives is the only way to play control and be able to survive long enough for late game imo.

The big tech here is From Under the Floorboards. We have 8 discard outlets in Jace VP and Elusive Tormentor for massive lifegain and zombie finishers in the late game but even at 5cmc I think 6 power plus 3 life is still very good. There isn't really any need for countermagic since Elusive Tormentor has inbuilt protection. The deck lacks lifegain but the sweepers are so good that they act as pseudo life gain especially a radiant flames on turn 3 which is almost always a blowout against Mono White. Dragonlord Kolaghan acts as a fast finisher since Tormentor is slow and can get chump blocked easily. He also prevents your opponent from recasting anything since a lot of the time they will have cards of the same name in the graveyard.

The sideboard is a bit of a mess at the moment but it is mainly aimed towards improving the midrange/ramp and possibly control mirror matchup. Use Negate and Transgress to stop their ramp and Silumgar to steal their threats if need be. Ultimate Price is for more removal against aggro and Void Shatter for the potential mirror.

Testing has been very limited so far but I really like the foundation of the deck. Originally I was playing Esper Dragons but I felt it was way too slow. Lack of turn 3 sweeper was a big negative and Silumgar's Scorn plus Foul-Tongue Invocation were really meh. Both top 2 decks have too many creatures where they sack their worst creature so Invocation was almost always just Gain 4 life (meh) and Scorn was too situational. I'd rather have hard removal and answers game 1 and side in counter magic games 2 and 3

Ideally I'd like to make more use of some other madness cards but right now I can't think of any that would be improvements. Cards like Fiery Impluse and Fiery Temper are too inconsistent with our manabase.

So Josh Silvestri has some words to say about Drana and Vamps in general:

BR Vampires is a solid week-1 deck—but a solid list isn't out there yet... Don’t slowly morph your deck into midrange by adding heavier cards to your deck like Kalitas and Thunderbreak Regent.

Drana is a fun card, but basically unplayable if you don't curve out, and many Vampire decks only run a single playset of 1-drops.

WG Humans is the best aggro deck.

I agree with him a fair bit, actually. Wx Humans has been wrecking me in my testing.

What does the WG list look like. Does it run any of the green werewolves

Olivia is a total trap in this deck imo. She is just too slow for an aggro deck. The only way to trigger her ability is to actually cast your creature spells and then you need to have a madness card in your hand and then you need to have enough mana to be able to cast that card...and when you do the best you can probably do is Incorrigble Youths which is deceptively average.

She is definitely strong enough to find a home somewhere but this isn't the deck. Maybe Zombies or some kind of graveyard deck where you dont have to waste mana and cast spells in order to get her to trigger.
