It's probably been asked multiple times, but how do we deal with mono red? The amount of removal, haste, and burn can really add up and seems hard to deal with. I went 1-2 against my friends deck, but I did have to mulligan both of the last games and I still kept a good amount of pressure.
We don't run ordeals and I agree, it's a nice choice. Except for you're either going more heavy in black than any other color and the double white could be a problem for early game.
I really want to go the reanimator route post rotation. I think it will be really fun and good. Only problem I've had from testing is that it seems really slow. Would love help.
Hey, for a junk reanimater deck, how viable do you guys think he is? I feel like it's not really needed and if anything just sideboard material. Want to know if I should get rid of them or not.
I've got a question about the commons/uncommons. I just played today (live in Beijing, China, played at a store in WangFuJing), and I got a Blue pack. The contents were fine and regular, but when I opened my special, 'this-is-meant-to-support-Blue' pack, I had like 3 blue cards and then a mix of white and red cards. Since my Blue from the 5 packs was mediocre, I couldn't play blue and ran Black/Green instead. Did anyone else have this problem? I only ask because at the Ravnica tournaments, all of the special packs were seeded with only cards of the chosen colors, with a few artifacts and a gate. Was it just my pack that was different, or are the special packs in Theros done fundamentally differently from those in RTR block?
EDIT: It looks like a few people on page 3 said the same thing. I guess it wasn't just me. Nevermind, forget I asked.
Yeah same for me. My blue seeded pretty much sucked. I got Thassa's bident, but that's pretty much it.
My blue wasn't bad overall though, but I had to go grixis colors just so I could play Underworld Cerberus.
I picked time to feed because after using Hunt The Weak in M14 drafts, I found how powerful fight effects cam be. Shipwrecker is obviously good, and I guess even if you don't go into its colors, you prevent someone else from using it, but green seems like the best color to always go, so choosing removal in its colors is not a bad idea.
I've learned that without many any true good mana fixers, going 3 colors is not the way. While I would love to go bant, G/U is definitely the safest and best option. Black was a close second for two color also.
The thing about prophet is that even if you tap out for her, you'll be getting the mana back to provide counters to anything that would harm her. And I forgot to mention aetherling
Yeah, I guess there is no point to syncopate. Dissolve is much better. But, unless there are other really good counter cards, syncopate might still have to be used. I really want to use Plasm Capture also. I think the new bant will be really fun with so many answer to extreme amounts of mana.
Can't choose between this deck and a Junk Reanimator though. Still waiting for someone to make that thread.
Actually about the prophet, I think 4 is bit too excessive.
And are you trying to make this a more midrange deck idea? Because with prophet I feel like control with smiter, voice, and advent as your pushers would do really well especially when prophet is contstantly giving you mana for let's say syncopate.
He's talking about using it on himself.
