No ghost creature type I think, the ghosts are called spirits - here are two good examples - Geist of Saint Traft, Obzedat, Ghost Council.
The spirits aren't as "spooky" as conventional ghosts, they may not necessarily be what you're looking for.
It's not my intention to come as grumpy, but I had hoped for a slight namedrop somewhere in this thread or in the videos (I have just watched the introduction). While it's unreasonably to claim inventing something as basic as a 3-colored control deck, I do claim to have single-handedly popularized the deck online (to the extent it's popular).
Grixis control was a small part of the Pro-tour metagame, but saw no 4-0/3-1 finishes since then. At least as far as I bothered to check. I built a clearly inferior version to my current (with f. ex. no Staticasters main, but Warped Physique instead) the week before MOCS-qualifiers, but failed to make it any further than the quals. With an exam at the end of May, I didn't put up any results before 27.05 (I think), as I was mostly busy studying (http://www.mtgo-stats.com/decks/61247).
Since the semester ended after that exam, I got to play quite a bit the next couple of weeks, which eventually resulted in my current list. I haven't made any big changes to it the last few weeks, as I think I've gotten to test out close to all possibilities (http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Digital/MagicOnlineTourn.aspx?x=mtg/digital/magiconline/tourn/5593310). Grixis Control is a very real deck and I'm proud to have shaped it.

I only run 2. If you run other forms of draw, it won't matter too much (in fact, it's better if you don't have a revelation in hand until you hit turn 6 or so). Think Twice, Augur of bolas and Jace, architect of thought all offer card advantage earlier in the game while digging up your revelations.

Also, esper is far \\ away the best deck in the format. not unreasonable for 7 of 8 to be esper, but i wouldnt say it happens very often either.
Here's a problem with my deck. Wincon is drownyard / sorin and souls, it's pretty slow. If the match is 1-1 and I'm clearly going to win the third round, I have to do so in a timely manner or else the clock will run out and it'll be a draw.
Ummmmmmmmmm... "luck happens" with EVERY top-8 as long as you are playing against competent opponents. The "skill curve" of MTG players is very close in pretty much every tournament - if you want to go 7/1 or 6/0 at your upcoming SC tournament you will most certainly need "luck."

Look, when I slipped the spoiler in regards to a certain character, it was legitimately a mistake. For some reason or another, I thought it had been revealed in the show already or been laid pretty flat out. Hence why I've been unapologetic. A friend told me that it hadn't been revealed in the show to that extent yet; In my defense, when you read the books and watch the show at the same time, it's easy to cross wires and get information mixed up. So I do apologize to people whom that was a big spoiler for.
I actually had PM'd both the mods assigned over Entertainment to see about just having the posts deleted quoting the spoiler I had given, and the spoiler itself, but apparently one of them hasn't logged on in 5 days and the other is on vacation for a month, so I'll get in touch with a global mod. (The deletion is so other people don't unwittingly read the spoiler, or the spoiler from others quoting me, etc.)

A good episode for a change finally. Sad yes but the wedding was well done. Favorite part is when katelyn hears the song start playing and knows its gonna happen. Too bad we didn't get to see any king's landing (i like the dynamic between jeffrey and tyrone, remember at the wedding jeff emberessed his uncle at the cloacking part).
On another note i really like the seiyu (japanese for voice actor ^_^) for ruth bolton, silky smooth voice - just the voice I pictured when reading the books.
