To me, she's often "meh". Smart opponents either counter her or just kill her on the spot the second she comes in, then proceeds to screw you over anyway.

They need to make sure they stop feeding into the creature power creep that's been going on, and returning some power to spells.

I wonder if the power creep existing was because of all the spoiled elitists preaching the whole "bad because dies to removal"? Just a random thought really?

Finally, something I think the players need to do to improve the game: stop thinking of boosters in terms of value. Stop buying just for money. That's the reason we can't get high priced reprints in precons. That's the reason Master's sets have become about the top three chase cards.

YES! Remember the ***** storm that happened when Khans had the reprinted Onslaught fetches? Player base greed, which possibly could also be contributing to WotC being hesitant on certain reprintings, leading to even more artificial inflation. Because you know, profits above all?

"Just like Urza's Block, Mirrodin, Scars of Mirrodin... really, the solution seems to be for Wizards to stop printing artifact blocks"

Careful with statements like that. I made one almost like it some time ago and people went all mob mentality on me.

I'm more referring to the ones who think "get net deck, go to a tourney, become rich and famous", their delusions not letting them see the fact that it's not instant get rich quick.

OIC. I think that's why I want see statistics.

How many people sit in both camps. Of the four in my playgroup, 3 do some form of netdecking in varying degrees. I do the most tinkering (not that that's a good thing, I do it because I have the largest collection of Legacy and smallest collection of Modern cards).

But one dude strictly netdecks. He'll find card lists, load'em up in TCGPlayer, then buy them en masse.

But I digress. It would be interesting to see how any type of netdecking as opposed to speculators drive prices on key cards.

Let's see if I can describe this correctly. Sure the spec'ers can drive prices, but remember that when a card performs well, it often gets inflated. This leads to the two groups of netdeckers, the ones who want to use it to play better, and the ones who do it to win tournaments for money and more cards. The latter group often gives cards even more publicity. This can drive demand even higher, which then the speculators/scalpers use to inflate even further for more profit.

It's the saying of "A vicious cycle". When netdeckers inflate demand, it tends to inflate prices. This is just from my point of view anyway, I'm sure there's a lot of underlying things I don't know of.

More homebrewing. If more people experiment with their own decks insted of netdecking you will reduce the demand on cards of tier 1 decks that are really expensive. The problem with this is that even for homebrewing you will want to play the best cards, e.g. you will want to play Gideon even if you are not playing madru because the card is too good, so gideon would be very expensive even in a diverse meta but it's something.

Problem is that these days, many net deck as it's like they think it's a shortcut to fame and fortune. To elaborate, it's the whole "If this makes them rich and famous, it'll make me rich and famous too".

Pretty sure it's just pure coincidence.

Flickering the sentient spell kills it, not the C-i-P creature.

Why would I want to flicker it in the first place? Manifest could get away with it only because it could ignore costs of permanents, and can sometimes be free land.

it counts as an instant or sorcery in your graveyard(this is such a minor "benefit" that it doesn't seem worth limiting it's p/t to 2/2)

Not when you get stuff like Spellheart Chimera and the like involved. Also, the 2/2 thing is because I'm forced to. Wizards made a sort of standard for face down creatures in that they had to be 2/2s.

Re: Bulwark N: It's a blocking mechanic. "getting out of hand" is not your fault

The P/T boosting isn't the part I'm worried about, it's the many cards that can abuse it, Fling being a notorious example(but not the only example). I might consider a sort of Bulwark N depending on how easily other bodies can come in.

Spell Sentience - Isn't this just a comes-into-play creature? I don't see the design space here; rather you're just limiting your CIP creatures to 2/2s.

Nope, it isn't. Reason being that it reverts back to original Instant/Sorcery when it goes from the battlefield to another zone. It can allow stuff like using return Instant/Sorcery from graveyard effects to get it back and cast it for a body again. Bouncing them back to hand can also allow reusability by allowing you to cast again. Not all examples of course.

Bulwark - Neat. Should probably be Bulwark N though. Very Bannding-esque. Not sure about the name though.

The reason it isn't Bulwark N is because of the potential get out of control a bit too fast.

Stun (Whenever this creature deals damage to another creature, tap that creature and it doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step.)

I wouldn't do it like that, because it could start getting too oppressive when you slap Power Of Fire or [[Chandra's Ignition]] effects on said creatures (mentioned power of fire can enable permanent tapping by just simply pinging a creature each time on an opponent's turn)

Spell sentence -- unless the set has morph stuff, wouldn't creating a token be simpler.

Because it would end up as "effect + Sprout", which nobody would shut up about when I showed it last time somewhere. I do have plans for the face down part of it though. Morph as currently known isn't used for this though.

Rage -- not very useful, since you usually lose life during an opponent's turn, likely during combat. The only time this is useful is an opponent damages you _before_ an attack.

Not sure why I put the old version in there... Fixed one in first post.

Rage is still being decided between on if either you or a permanent control takes damage.

EDIT: Added a couple more and a category.

In an age where too many expect perfection or else, where net decking starts becoming "Oh look, that guy won all that money with that deck. If I had that deck, I'll have all that money too"(simple greed and delusions of "easy money" is what I'm getting at), and they feel like if they whine loud enough, they can have OP cards that let them have easy wins, Wizards got kind of shoe horned into catering to them.

In turn, it's dulling the game as a whole, all because they want it easy. What can you really do, when it feels like they can control everything and dictate all to have it their way?

EDIT: Obviously, I'm not saying everyone is like that. Just simply have noticed a disturbing trend, which to me, started around when KTK first came out. Spoiler seasons are often a good place to see this.

but eight seems too high a number for the reanimation ability

Oops, somehow forgot to lower that. The ability used to trigger for it's controller too, is why is was at 8 initially.

Dragonkhan Anafenza is certainly odd in terms of flavor. Would the Dragonkhans be the current-era ex-khans actually turned into Dragons? How's that work?

You'd be correct on that. It's in post DTK events, where Surrak, the Hunt Caller, finds this device created by by the naga during FRF, which was designed to give them the ability to become dragons themselves, when forced to retreat in the caves when he and his party were ambushed by the Silmgar clan.

The naga however, couldn't find a stable way to power it before the war ended. There a whole lot of other stuff that happens, but long story short, the other former khans catch on and follow, they gain the ability to become dragons, and try to free their kin from their dragonlords, except Narset, whom refuses to attack Ojutai in any way, instead assisting Zurgo with Kolaghan, due to him being rather haywire in his new form.

P.S. The Tailorgoyf types were the best I could come up with, just saying. The Moolahmog dollar wording was mainly for flavor, but I can see that coins will work game play wise.

    With catagories, lol.

    Un-set Style

    Oddball Legendaries

P.S. Some wordings will likely be incorrect, I'm unable to change those at the moment. Too long to explain why. Also, if there's no card art, please don't complain about it, if I can find or create something, I will, give me time.
