I'd like to see this. There is no trigger to miss on Supreme Verdict.
The vampire player was pretty bad. Missed Sire trigger and I believe he had a Lingering Souls in his graveyard that entire game that he forgot about.
I'll comb through the PT GTC vids to find it for you.
edit: oops, actually it was Ben Stark playing Supreme Verdict then leaves his Augur of Bolas in play. Turn passes then tells the judge it was a missed trigger =/ The judge caught it though but I think it's sad how players try to pull stunts like that
I think that sucks for the game how someone can just act like a card wasn't played in hopes of a missed trigger, it's like flopping in the NBA. Seen that happen when watching PT Gatecrash where someone played Supreme Verdict and Ben Stark just leaves his creatures on board though fully acknowledging the spell resolved, then tells the judge immediately that the trigger was missed when the turn was passed. All it looks like is players gaming the system. Anyways, glad Vampire Control won =)
A deck that I have been working on. It'll have the shocklands eventually so I'm not too worried about that. I'm just more concerned with refining the deck to better suit its strategy.
Matchups I've Played So Far:
Selesnya Aggro - This feels like a close matchup but I'm often a turn too slow to win, problem being the guildgates.
Grixis Control - The bounce spells help against their targeted removal and Blind Obedience gives me time to deal with their Izzet Staticasters. I've had no real problems against it.
Maze's End - The deck I currently have is a little too slow to deal with it. I'm sure my chances will get better with shocklands but besides that, it feels like my deck is missing something to close out against them.
I agree with the post from patlienemann. You'll need either early removal or early lifegain with blockers to deal with naya or R/x decks. With bant hexproof and Burning Tree Emissarys able to get off a Firefist Striker's battalion ability on T3 to get around Augur, a sweeper is necessary but having four could be overkill when you have Snappy. Lastly, you have such good ways to dig for your win con with Sphinx's Rev and Urban Evolution, I think you could cut one or two of the Aetherlings.
Hmmm, take a look at Skirsdag High Priest and Cartel Aristocrat. With all of those bodies sitting around while one guy swings, you can activate High Priest's ability at will with Cartel Aristocrat at the end of your opponent's turn, giving you something that can go over Advent of the Wurm and through Restoration Angel. Also, with Cartel Aristocrat, you can do away with Rogue's Passage since she gets evasion and instead opt for Vault of the Archangel which lets you race more effectively. Lastly, it opens up the opportunity for you to use Tragic Slip more often which could be a great substitute for Crippling Blight since it gets rid of the creature entirely.
with that rule change, I'm wondering what legendary creatures and planeswalkers they have in store for us. the indestructible rule change makes me sad though =(
I've been trying out Council of the Absolute mainboard lately as a 3-of in a Wu aggro deck along with running two Clones sideboard. It has worked wonders shutting off sweepers against control, Unburial Rites against Reanimator, and Bonfire of the damned/Rakdos's Return against Jund. Versus Aggro, I've gotten out of some tight situations with a psuedo-ramped overloaded Cyclonic Rift and the 2/4 body is nothing to be scoffed at.
1. What are you making the most use of Orzhov Charm with? Just the returning a creature?
2. Tragic Slip would be considerably better if you had any sac outlets for your tokens.
3. On the topic of tokens, Lingering Souls should be sufficient and open up the 4 of slot that Townsfolk is taking up. I get that you want to drop an Archangel with a ton of tokens on the board for all of the Exalted triggers, but 8 token generators (4 of which have flashback) is probably too many.
I think a card that might help you round out the list:
Cartel Aristocrat - Human, Sac outlet making tragic slip useful, and protects herself.
I agree on the Cartel Aristocrat. Plus with all the tokens in play, you can fizzle out Sever the Bloodline and Detention Sphere by sacrificing the spirit token targetted.
I am considering removing Obzedat's Aid and the Liliana of the Dark Realms, and going with 3 Ultimate Price mainboard, with 3 Victim of Night in SB. Wondering if that will help.
The deck averages a 4-1 finish at FNM, but I can see holes.
You might want Tragic Slips as well since you're running Lingering Souls, Liliana of the Veil, and Devour Flesh. Also, it deals with Thalia, Guardian of Thraben a turn faster than Ultimate Price and Victim of Night and gets past Falkenrath Aristocrat's indestructibility at instant speed.
How has Talrand, Sky Summoner been working for you in the sideboard? Talrand's Invocation could be a more consistent alternative since you only have to worry about having just the Invocation resolve as opposed to having Sky Summoner resolve, then worry about removal, then having to have another spell resolve to take advantage of what Invocation puts out in one action.
sorry for the run-on sentence, finals sapped any grammar left in me.

A deck that I've been having fun with lately.
Against aggro, the plan is to get asymmetric board wipes with overloaded Cyclonic Rifts or Rootborn Defenses/Frontline Medic's battalion before casting a Supreme Verdict.
Against control, it's been about resolving Council of the Absolutes or Witchbane Orb, having mana for Syncopate or Rootborn Defenses, or cry in boredom as I get milled. lol
Anyways, thoughts or comments would be great.
