Anyone gettin away with playing Teysa ? Besides her casting cost. I think she would be good to side in against what seems to be up and coming gruul monsters. Heavy duty blocker and free flying token i believe.
First round was a Minotaur deck. First game he missed one more swamp to combo. Second he got me down to 2 life.
Second rounds was a Boros reckoner infinite life gain deck. He didn't land the combo so 2-0.
Third was Gruul Monsters. Alms worked him first round. Sideboard I dropped all my Barons, helix and keyrunes for RR, Slaughtergames, and lifebane. Didn't draw into any and lost the next 2 games. Domri wrecks my Stormbreath and He played 6 land Reaper which I could not do anything about.
Fourth game was mono black. Lost first game due to not thoughtseizing the game ending pack rat. Sideboarded in duress and slaughtergames. Second game land flood for him. 3rd game he answered all my barons and reckoners/brimaz with devour and mizzium. Alms beast took him down though.
Pretty happy with Alms beast. Brizmas usually gets dealt with right away in most of my games. I have nothing to protect him, such as brave the elements or god's willing. I might be taking him out for " ? " haven't thought of anything yet. Keyrunes are great when i get them. It is conditional 3rd drop. Depending on whether they are playing lots of tap/scry lands as well or dropping their 1-3 drops.
Removal till you get your creatures out. Indestructible/Doubles strike in the air. Reckoner for the early board presence bouncing the dmg back to their creatures for more creature removal.
With the white/black you have access to " Obzedat, Ghost Council ( harass/dodge removal) " " Blood Baron of Vizkopa ( lifelink/prot ) " " Sin Collector ( for blue ) ".
What are your reasons as to why rakdos control is not being seen or making it top 8 ? What is it lacking compared to splashing any other color with black ? I personally think it is great with the burn and the uncountable slaughter games and burn spells to either the face or a troublesome blood baron.
why are the falkenraths better than olivia. 4/1 is an easy lingering soul chump block, and if they are playing heavy removal, you are not going to have something to sac via indestructible. Olivia is target for burn once she is cast but if they dont draw that, you can bite them for 1/1 which then puts her at 4/4.

As a Jund player, what are my options to not have everything I cast be a target of counters such as dissipate, render silent, counterflux.
I play a strong early/aggro game with:
3-4 Ambush vipers, currently switching to Wasteland Vipers. Probably going to get rid of them all together for something else.
3-4 Vexing Devils
3-4 Spike Jesters
3 Ash zealots
4 Rakdos Cackler
my early game consists of these plus 2 madcap skills and 2 rancor, along with 3-4 Ghor-Clan Rampager.
I then follow with:
3 Vampire Nighthawk
2 Varolz
3-4 Olivia V.
Went 4-0 against my buddy playing Junk rites. So far, solid deck, will try at a local tourny tmrw, hopefully i can play with the aggro and control decks in my local meta. Thanks 1000.
how about running grisly salvage to flood your graveyard and also increase your chances of pulling Varolz to get the combo working. Also, do you see this deck being competitive vs any of the constructed play lately ? I am just worried it takes a bit too much to happen to make it work.
What would I drop to run Dsphere removal of a pumped creature. That is what I am more worried about happening. Dreadbore too without open land or creatures to sac to make anything regen/indes.
