Hey, what exactly is the "new version" of the deck? I went back a few pages but can't seem to put my finger on which is the one you are talking about. Thanks in advance!
Your life total is probably lower than 15 at the beginning of your fifth or sixth turn, so the first condition helps. After that, it counts as a free kill spell every upkeep--there is no downside here, even with the second condition letting the other creature deal damage to you. If you are worried about that damage, though, then just remember that Life Goes On.
I really want to set this up with Soul-Scar Mage and Nest of Scarabs, though--kill a creature (even an indestructible one) and get 15 insects every upkeep? That sounds like a fun plan.
Magic Christmas land! That does sound fun, though.
enter the unknown seems powerful, but a trap. unlike attune with nature this cannot be played turn one. But one mana draw a land and play it, or one mana put a counter on creature and pseudo-scry 1 is pretty efficient
Where 5cmc Planeswalkers like Ob Nixilis and Angrath become better than Demigod (which I play in my current Rakdos Control list, so I'm well aware of how good it is), is when the focus shifts from spot removal to cards like Ensnaring Bridge as a primary gameplan and high power creatures become a liability. It's an angle that hasn't been widely explored yet in Modern - at least, not with any kind of notoriety. This new card may spark the flame of a tier 1 archetype; or it may not... who knows... regardless, I'm looking forward to playing with it.
Good analysis. Most people are very meta, and I understand why. Winning is fun. Brewing is difficult. I look forward to chatting with you in the modern threads.
Also, Angarth could be sideboard in Jund in Modern for the mirror (even though it isn't a massive showing in the format, but it is still good). Steals most of the creatures in Modern, so even if they play it you get to steal it then sac it. I'm not saying it is going to warp the format, but I think it will see as a one of or SB card.
Wow. Just. Wow. That is a spicy list right there.

Natural 3 lands on turn 2 seems legit (I think Dryad Arbor goes well with this)
