I am super excited to see what Barrin is like. I feel like his art looks UR so hopefully he is a 3 CMC or less wizard so he may fit into one of our decks

I tried Warstorm Surge back in the day (I thought I was so smart with the whole timing thing of Surge entering te battlefield BEFORE G. Hydra)...but this is WAY better.
Between this and Fierce Empath...I'll be playing my creature deck more than my Walker Deck...never thought I'd see the day!
I still haven't seen a deck with Vivien, Monster's Advocate which I feel is a very strong Walker. With Courser and fetchlands you can get some insane value from her passive.
I'm currently playing a 1-of in my creature-Devotion deck. She is unreal. I may go up to 2; but I've been liking it as a singleton.
Looks like white got some cool new toys! I am extremely happy about Containment Priest in modern. You are going to have a bunch of new stuff to test out.
I know there aren't a lot of mono white players out there in modern right now, but I think that is going to change soon.
Really, Fiend Artisan and Fierce Empath work very similarly. They function as the method to "smooth" the deck out (to transition from the "ramp" to the "win" without having to play a deck with a high amount of high-CMC cards.
I don't know if I am at a critical mass point where I can just play Empath, Bellower, Genesis Hydra, etc. and just out-advantage most decks.
We definitely have to test...we are kinda at a point of having too many great options I mean...I'll still take the GG ETB draw a card creature...
Totally agree. We may literally Just have enough with Fierce Empath to make a ver straight-forward; but very consistent and powerful devotion deck. I’m brewing now

The design of this card is an A+ in my book. This is a great way to take advantage of the new red "exile" or "fast draw" affect. This with some of the chandra's that exile the top card this card is a lot of fun. As a degenerate UR player, I am definitely going to jam this into a UR prowess monstrosity with Light up the Stage. I think it would also be really cool in a RUG cascade deck. I am talking about the modern format for reference.
We got a good one! I really like this card in a base UR deck. It works great with snapcaster obviously, but it also works great with a lot of the chandra affects. It reads- Look at the top three cards of your deck. Put one card in your hand and the other two at the bottom of your library. If you cast this card from anywhere other than your hand, draw three cards instead.

I was really hoping for a flash planeswalker. That would be awesome. I am not sold on Teferi yet, but I would be happy to be wrong. I think he will definitely see play and will be better in play than he reads. I will definitely be giving him a try.
Also, welcome back prowess!!! Looks like prowess is back as an evergreen mechanic so that is always nice to see.
I agree guys. Lutri may have bit the dust with the new announcement. However, with the introduction of Containment Priest I am firmly back into jeskai flash again for the foreseeable future. I was really hoping for a printing of that card. I am excited to get back into jeskai for sure!
