Hi Dezzo. Thanks for sharing the list. It is great to see Jeskai Delver doing well! It has been awhile. I think Delver is better than a lot of people give it credit for. I am currently working on reworking my jeskai delver list so thanks so much for sharing. I have been on UR delver for a bit, but want to get back to my Jeskai roots.
Awesome list ManDolphin! I have really been into Sprite Dragon as well. It's a great card for our deck. I have been playing UR delver when I get some time to play. Once I have a bit more time I will get back into jeskai! The list looks awesome.
We've been a pretty dead forum for a bit; but I will be updating the Primer to Include Leyline of Abundance builds this month. Let me know if there is anything else you'd like to see!
I've just been playing my long-term Walker Combo deck, as well as the Fiend Artisan deck. That is really where I am at right now. I would like to experiment more with Leyline decks and get a better feel for using Leyline of Abundance...but it will just depend on the time I find.
Let me know if you guys are also playing any Devotion. Love to hear about ideas and the way your games are playing!
I’ve also been trying a list that is just more similar to my lists of old; that functions mainly on the interaction between Genesis Hydra and Terror of the Peaks. I’ll let you know if it is worth trying.
What is the "7 green fetchland" portion of your mana base?
I fixed it (as I see how it could be confusing). It was just meant to show that you can utilize any assortment of fetchlands that can get fetch a Forest (wooded foothills, windswept heaths, verdant catacombs, misty rain forest....)
This is a very "toolbox" style that I wanted to give a try. It may be better as a linear, Craterhoof version; but I wanted to give a little interaction a try. Ruric Thar has been very strong (so I likely would keep it even if I went back to a more linear/Craterhoof version.
Fiend Artisan is definitely slower when compared to something like Burning-Tree Emissary; but I've always preferred to play the deck a little less purely linear/glass cannon. This isn't necessarily right (a LOT of the recent success has been with more linear, all-in versions of Devotion)....it is just the way I prefer to play and I personally have more success with such decks.

Some people are advocating for the unbanning of Green Sun's Zenith on the 13th. Obviously, this would be a huge deal for our deck...so we will see what happens.
I was looking through my cards to see what I would want to add and I found Commune with Nature I'm going to try testing it out if I ever get around to trying a ramp version of mono green.
I thought this was the home for Green Stompy/Green Devotion. Least the front page of this primer said so. Did the deck eventually branch out to two different primers? If so, what does a deck for mono green devotion look like now a days?
'
Yes. We allowed discussion of Stompy lists (especially those using Nykthos and Aspect of Hydra0 as they often use Devotion as a large portino of their deck's win-conditions. I only let you know about the Stompy forum just so you had access to as much data as possible.
Both of the forums have been pretty slow; but I am ALL for new discussion I need to upload the newer Primer up anyways (as ours is a bit dated).
As a new player to this deck, what do we look for in upgrades? And are we a poor mans Ponza and/or Poor aggro?
I hadn't seen this. What fun! There is also a Stompy forum on here which may have some great information for you; but I will definitely make sure to look at it more tonight.
I wonder if Winding Way is better than Seek the Wilds...different i know. Just wanted to provide it as an option.
I an SOOO torn. There are just too many ways for us to go with the deck..Just this week I've tried :
1. a Lukka build that essentially exiles 3-drops (the "draw a card" guys) for Emrakul) but can also hard-case Emrakul in many cases.
2. My Cloudstone Curio build
3. A Wakeroot Elemental combo build (great with Fierce Empath but still somewhat hard to develop in a highly interactive meta).
4. My Fiend Artisan / Craterhoof Behemoth build (somewhat straightforward devotion to Craterhoof).
5. A Karn deck with a wish-board.
I don;t know which one is best. The Lukka deck is the fastest goldfish, but the Fiend Artisan version has some more interaction and is smooth; but may he a 1/2 turn too slow....UGH.
This is a very cool card. Man-o-war with upside. With that said I was hoping for something a bit more "wizardy" or spell based.
Barrin is a headmaster who learns from his pupils - so by bouncing them he takes them under his wing, thus protecting them, and he learns a lil something about himself from them (the card draw).
I guess that makes sense. It is a very neat way to look at the card. Very cool.
Genesis Hydra for 10, get both creatures and Dome the opponent for 10 Double the damage of a Walking Ballista.
I tried Warstorm Surge back in the day (I thought I was so smart with the whole timing thing of Surge entering te battlefield BEFORE G. Hydra)...but this is WAY better.
Between this and Fierce Empath...I'll be playing my creature deck more than my Walker Deck...never thought I'd see the day!
I've often looked at including more red in the deck, for stuff like this or Inferno Titan. At what point do we just merge with Ponza and have Gruul Devotion without the land destruction? It seems fun, and Ponza's on the rise atm. I should probably look at joining a Ponza discord, though I'm not a fan of Land destruction.
I still haven't seen a deck with Vivien, Monster's Advocate which I feel is a very strong Walker. With Courser and fetchlands you can get some insane value from her passive.
I like the new Vivien, but at 5 mana I think she comes out too late and does too little. I tend to play a faster aggro-oriented version of devotion, and at that stage of the game I want to be closing the game out instead of grinding advantage. Against a jund-heavy meta, she'd be great.
I agree that at some point we just become a "worse Ponza"...its the same issues we run into with being a "worse Amulet" or a "worse Tron" deck. We are in a VERY tough spot. What can we do better than those decks? We can definitely go bigger. We can utilize planeswalkers better. In some instances we can be faster. We can build our decks to be more resilient (than Tron that is)...but it is definitely a question we have to ask ourselves all the time.

My current list that I am trying out is:
4x Arbor Elf
3x Birds of Paradise
3x Wall of Blossoms
3x Fiend Artisan
2x Fierce Empath
2x Llanowar Visionary
1x Eternal Witness
1x Reverent Hunter
1x Polukranos, World Eater
1x Terror of the Peaks
1x Acidic Slime
3x Primeval Titan
1x Woodland Bellower
1x Ruric Thar, the Unbowed
1x Genesis Hydra
3x Garruk Wildspeaker
2x Kiora, Behemoth Beckoner
Enchantment (7)
4x Utopia Sprawl
3x Oath of Nissa
Land (21)
4x Wooded Foothills
3x Misty Rainforest
2x Stomping Ground
6x Forest
4x Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
1x Kessig Wolf Run
1x Horizon Canopy
