I'm running this list in FNM tonight. I don't have very high expectations, since this is the first time I've played in awhile. I could use help on the SB though.
I really want to get Bant Emeria Titan working, but I don't have a lot of time to playtest. I feel like green offers some really good ramp options to get to 7 plains faster, but blue offers the better Supreme Verdict and Detention Sphere
But like why buy into Tron if it will get banned for the sake of competitive diversity??? It feels like no deck that is consistently competitive is a safe investment.
So today I tested the deck with some changes. I played against twin ( won 1-0 than the guy quit ), infect ( won 2-0 ), knightfall ( won 2-1 ). Eternall Witness was the star. I have 2 slots for " other finishers " and I tested here Brimaz. Then I thought " Why don't try Knight of the reliquary ? Great body and also a tutor for emeria!
Seriously. going supreme verdict, witness, get back verdict, cast verdict again is back breaking for certain decks. With tribe elder and coiling oracle to ramp a turn 3 verdict, green helps us a lot to get to the end game.
From what I remember this is roughly the list. Some of the choices may not be the most powerful or competitive, but they have good synergy and are a lot of fun.
Even with the difficulty of the double green mana for Eternal Witness, I think that it's worth it. I run about 6 green sources, and have tribe elder and coiling oracle in the deck. I'm sure that my mana base needs work, but ewitness is very good in the deck. Buying back a verdict or path or sun titan is super good.
Granted my version of the deck is different than most of the lists floating around on this forum.
Interesting. I don't get many chances to play, but the deck itself is definitely one of my favorites. I'm currently running a list still with 4 Icatian Javelineers, but I might change it to a 2/2 split between the javelineers and harrier.
Could someone explain why Worship is good? I can understand the soft lock with Thrun and worship, but I feel like it is a lose less card.
I'm just trying to understand why it is in the sb.
I think the general feeling on that card is that it could go in our deck, but it isn't necessary or super game changing for us. Sure a 3/4 with viligance and the token making is a just bananas, but does it do enough on hating our opponent's deck or slow him down. The other three drops we have can either hate our opponents resources ie flickerwisp or force them to make a tough decision. ie Blade Splicer. So idk if it is worth it.
But if I'm wrong, cool. Then we have another option for the super crowded three drop spot.
We dont have to worry a lot about it going to the yard if it's already attatched to the dudr too. I would like to try it. Also, it isn't as horrible with thalia if anyone runs her. 2 cmc rancor sounds better thatn 4 cmc sword.

Green gives us Sylvan Ranger and Sakura Tribe Elder.
Also possible value with Eternal Witness.
I feel like there are opportunities for it to realy shine, but other instances where it is a very dead draw.
