I'm working in a different build. I'm playing Corpseweft and Risen executioner and i'm having good results against some proved decks. What do you guys think? Zombies everywhere
I don't know . I think FRF have REALLY good cards that will see play. Not only UGIN. I can count from my head at least 10 cards that are playable in constructed.
Well , i'm a long time mtg player. In my opinion , this game is a almost a Masterpiece. Almost! Two things that always bothered me and my friends.
First one is the absurd price of cards. This one i think we can't solve.
The other one , is mana screwed. I agree that this is part of the deck building , but honestly , you guys know that even when your deck is tight and in perfect harmony , you're not safe from being screwed. And this is the most frustrating situation.
So we came up with a ridiculous simple idea , but a simple idea that turn our game 100% more enjoyable. We simply call it NS. No screw.
That's how it goes : We separate our decks in two piles. One with a minimum of 45 nonland cards , and the other with a minimum of 15 lands.
We start the game drawing 5 card from the nonland deck , and 2 from the land decks. In you draw step you choose a pile to draw.
We reduced the number of copies to 3 max. That's because you have a probability of 6.666% (without tutors of course) to draw a card you want (4 copies) in a 60 cards deck.
So we have to adjust our deck to 45 card/3 copies each to have the same probability. To Mill purposes , we always start milling from nonland pile. So if your opponent casts a Tome scour , you gonna put 3 cards from your nonland pile on graveyard and 2 from the land pile. The same happens with cards like garruk caller of the beasts , sensei diving top... and all cards that interact with the top of your library like drawing mechanics. When you cast jace's ingenuity ,you draws 2 from nonland pile and 1 from land pile. This gives the game a "very weird" balance , but after while we're enjoying it a lot .
We get to the point that we're only playing this instead of the normal game.
Courser of kruphix is a problem. When he is in the game we are playing him normally , showing the two cards of both piles. But in this type of game he is OP like hell.
he's great. Specially with some instant backup. Well , if the problem is abzan or big green creatures , you can always trick them. Like Ranulf said , you can bile blight them . You can use boon of erebos or any other R/W/B spell to pump him and kill them (devouring light , for example , cost only one with him in play) . I like him a lot.
Im using 2 Bow of nylea and it's being a strong card in my deck. Give back cards to my library , life , deathtouch ( so they think twice blocking sidsi and tokens.)+1+1 , devotion to pharika... IM lovin it
First of all , he has reach , second , he feed your graveyard , and third and the most important part you guys are seeing to forget , is his ability to give you a card back from you graveyard. This is incredibly powerful and can save your game plan .
First of all , sorry about my bad english.
Well , this deck has the same approach as aristocrats. A lot of people are trying this with butcher of Horde , but this deck has a different way to do that.
Of course we have a lot of choices , but this is what i came up with , and is doing better then the variant with warriors and all that stuff. Any help would be appreciated .

I'm sad to see corpsejack menace go. He was fun to play. Might have to bring him back out for one last run this friday. soooo much fun with all the evolve and monstrous.
Guys , what about Life's legacy? Seems insane with Whip and Strength from the fallen.
I thought about this too, but I think it's just a 'win more' card, and what would you cut for it? The deck needs 26-28 creatures to function, which doesn't leave much room for anything that isn't a creature, and I'd rather have something that will help you stabilize or get rolling than help you draw 15 cards when you're already winning.
Idk , maybe you're right. Tbh , i run 2 copies in my dredge and i'm loving it. Especially if you run lotleth troll like i do. Keep in mind , that if you sacrifice a Wayfinder or whatever in turn 4 to buy 10 , 8 cards. You gonna problably be with +- 12 cards in hand . You have the obvious advantage of the draws , and the advantage of the discard. Im playing a less enchantment version , so i don't play eidolon . Too much enchantment hate in the actual meta.
You are right , but im not only talking about convoke. We gonna have cards like military intelligence( A U/W deck with Ephara , Brizmaz , Chasm skulker , elspeth...) , preeminent captain (Brizmaz attacking with token for free ) . You can even use the tokens with Jalira . You can protect your creatures with Ephemeral shield or rootborn defenses , boros charm etc... IDK , everything tells me that Brizmaz is gonna see more play in std.
