This is what I have so far, I am skipping pre-forth edition. I also am guessing when it turned to two sets instead of 2 years. Can anyone confirm these?

I wonder how long it was that it turned into the two block rule from the 2 year rule.

I am running into an issue with core sets, I am thinking the old standard had three blocks because the core sets dont line up with just a 2 block rotation:

was that all in the standard or was shards block also included? that would be 3 blocks.

I need to be able to know when something was legal with something else very quickly and easily does anyone have any tips?

Does anyone know if there a list of the sets legal in each standard of the past somewhere? Like would it have the same rules as current like 2 blocks and latest core etc? Has it been the same throughout history?
