For my own meta, I may swap them in SB over Rest in Peace. I haven't seen a great deal of reanimator local to me, at least not of the sort that scares me more than RDW or Jund. Besides, Rest in Peace means losing my own Snapcasters, and hamstrings Alchemy / Feeling of Dread. Can I function with a RIP on the board? Sure, but not so well that I want to do it voluntarily.
I'd prefer to SB 3 (Duress is the sort of card I want early), so I may lose the Ultimate Price and either swap it for a Devour Flesh in the main, or just lose it entirely.
Witchbane is there for Rakdos' Return as well. It avoids Abrupt Decay, so I'm less inclined to worry about it than some other alternatives.
I've tested a lot vs RG aggro and Boros this week, and never really felt too threatened. Jund has me worried, mainly because I haven't played against it before and I'm really not sure what to SB vs. it. I want to squeak in Duress to snag Rakdos' Return and planeswalkers, but that final 15 is awfully tight already. Also still up in the air about Dissipate vs. Syncopate in the main deck.
Depending how it runs for FNM, I'm debating taking it to Charlotte on the 22nd. Haven't been to a big, official tournament in years.
We have a pretty aggressive meta right now, same as everyone else. Last week the winner was a planeswalker heavy Jund. There's a couple RDW running around, a Naya Zoo and a Bant auras that are both competitive, and probably at least one BWG Obzedat that I suppose qualifies as midrange that will be there this week.
I feel like I'm leaning too heavily on Drownyards for a win condition, but I'm not sure where to go with it. It also feels naked to be playing only four counterspells. I realize Cavern of Souls is a thing now and I'm accustomed to a more counter-heavy draw-go style, but it still feels very strange.
I'd love some constructive criticism. My first matches in years were only a week ago.
