Feb 3, 2014DragonXDoom posted a message on Launch Giveaway!Recently, my favourite card has to be Lazav, Dimir Mastermind, as it represents the Dimir so well. Not only is he/she/it hard to get rid of, but he/she/it also steals your opponent's creatures and uses them against them. I love that aspect of Dimir.Posted in: Announcements

Another card that's been doing solid work for me is War's Toll. If your opponents do anything on their turn, they can't do anything on yours, which has been really useful.
There are a couple of cards that I've been trying that I don't think I've seen a lot of people use, and that I think have quite a bit of potential: Pyrohemia and Knollspine Invocation.
Pryohemia allows repeated and sustained burn turn after turn, and is a great crowd-control card. If someone boardwipes to try and remove it, you can protect it with Kher Keep, and it can also be used to trigger your Magma Phoenix when you want to.
Knollspine Invocation is a funny card. It works very well when combined with Magma Phoenix, Skarggan Firebird, and Squee. It can also be used to discard Anger, put Artifacts in your graveyard for reanimation, or just killing Planeswalkers and Utility creatures.
I'd love to here your opinions on these. They've been working marvellously for me.

Sidisi has proven her worth, often creating one Zombie when she comes in, and two-three in each of the following turns.
I'm still considering the mainboard Sultai charms. While good, I think I might need more creatures in the deck.
Having the one Liliana in there lets you tutor for the various one-ofs in the deck, and in a pinch can discard an extra creature or a Soul of Innistrad. the ultimate will pretty much never happen.
I'm still making up my mind on the Empty the Pits. Good as a one-of, and can be retrieved late game with the Weaver.
The mana base is pretty consistant. I'm considering replacing the Temples of Malady with Llanowar Wastes, considering that Ascendancy does most of the scrying for us, and we want as few of the lands entering tapped as possible.
Opinions?
I thank you for your generousness, but I'm just following someone at the panel. He tweets faster than Alison.
Yes please.
Interesting move.

My only loss was to Red-Black midrange. He destroyed me in the first game by going T1: Thoughtseize, T2: Thoughtseize, T3: Lifebane Zombie, T4: Lifebane Zombie. And that was after a mull to six.
The new mana base for the deck is very good. Urborg and Wastes are superb at mana-fixing.
I liked Revoker due to the fact that it can shut off opposing Caryatids and Walkers, while being able to fetch it with Salvage and Commune.
Strength from the Fallen was ridiculous, able to get in huge amounts of damage. In at least three of the games last night, I won by swing with a Lotleth Troll with 25+ power for the win.
AEtherspouts is a complete blowout against us. You can play around it, but on a surprise factor the impact is huge. Watch out for it.
I like the deck as it is at the moment. At the moment, I'm not sure how I will change it post rotation, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
I assume it will be the same if it untaps before the ability resolves as well.
