@3kronor, I just posted that here a few hours ago :p

That said, it was great watching Gerry wreck a bunch of opponents even with a mistake or two. As he puts it, this deck is gas!

I checked the thread and did not see it, then I started writing my post but had to attend to something else before posting, so hour posts crossed like ships on a darkened ocean (I never get that expression, they have radar and lights, no?). Sorry about that. I've only watched the first three matches, but it is kinda fun to watch him going from being skeptical to "this is gas!"

    Radouf,

Not sure if you've seen it, but your list is featured on StarCityGames:

Note: In the video, Gerry Thompson credits a tweet by Zac Elsik (mentioning MTGSalvation in passing). In the comments in the article, however, Zac Elsik credits you.

And don't forget Time of Need. It finds the best Eldrazi God for every situation just like Conduit, but just adds 1G to the cost instead of 6.

This misses the point a bit. Eye of Ugin tutors for Ulamog, but it does so using a land and we already have many ways to tutor/filter for lands. That was the real beauty of the card in this deck: the synergy was perfect.

I am very sorry that you must pay for the crimes of another deck. I can only hope that your noble sacrifice leads to a better format that you all can enjoy with the rest of us, even if your deck is not as powerful as before. I pray you find a decent replacement soon.
Thank you This honestly means a lot to me, as I face having to tell my daughter that Eye of Ugin was banned when she comes home from school.

I just got Humility though, and have not tried it yet. I definitely like some of your choices.

Much better than Mentor of the Meek for small creature decks. Being able to cash in later on artifacts rather than having to slow down on casting your threats you just cast them all and then worry about the card advantage later. Sure it is slower but it works out much better this way in terms of mana efficiency.
But much worse for token-based decks, like Nahiri, the Lithomancer in Commander.

A thought: Among our options of imperfect 2-mana removal is Swift Reckoning.

Are you expecting a lot of Infinite Obliterations the first couple weekends of a brand new format? I wouldn't.

As a sideboard card in every deck that runs black, including Abzan? Definitely.

It's always fun to look at predictions after the fact. At SCGO Indianapolis, only a single deck in Top 64 ran Infinite Obliteration.

LOL. That doesn't mean it's a bad card. Turn 3 infinite obliteration neuters 5 color bring to light decks.

I am not judging the card. I am referring to your prediction that "every deck that runs black" would use this as a sideboard card.

For those of you running Anger of the Gods in the sideboard, what creatures (if any) of your own do you side out when you side it in?

    Mike,

Just found this thread. I still play a variant of your Jeskai aggro list and have gone to 0x in the mainboard and 2x in the sideboard. It's a sweet card when it works though, it has won me several games.

I've got one in the board because there are matchups I like it in and board it in for, but my main deck configuration was about trying to leverage as much advantage against what I thought the field would look like as possible.

Feel free to call me Mike. Mr. Walewski makes me feel like the old man I am. Smile
Personally, I'm 48, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Smile

Any chance you can provide general sideboarding notes for your list?

Yes. Also 3 Seekers not 4. Data entry errors most likely.
I was going to ask how you knew, until I noticed the user name. Smile

I've sleeved a version of Michael Walewski's Top 8 deck from SCGO Washington, D.C. and I've come to the conclusion that these should be Temple of Epihany. Anyone know for sure?
