So I got my caverns bought 2?and trade one of my maze of ith for the last one(which made me sad alittle). So from my previous list I did the following :
    -4 mishra's factory
    +3 cavern of souls
    +1 crystal vein
I'm wanting to cut a few one-ofs but not sure what to take out. So here's what I'm asking:
    Lightning greaves vs thousand-year elixir
They both have their owe advantages one giving shroud and the other being a makeshift voltaic key for creatures. But I'm leaning towards lightning greaves bc it can sometimes turn 2 swing with blightsteel.

The deck seems like it has no answer for any creature on the field(flipped delver) so maybe a second karn, liberated or maybe crystal rod?? Idk going with what I already own.

Crucible of worlds or thran dynamo vs everflowing chalice. Mana fixing if metalworker get taken out. Since I run Metalworker out after chalice on 1 and caverns are present it hardly ever gets answered. But just so the decks not dependent on a 1/2 that dies from most removal.

Its an aggro deck you play as if your playing combo, and it relies on control. I see why it could be considered combo(turn 2 forgemaster to blightsteel or Metalworker+staff of domination, or recurring come-into-play effects with welder) but at the end of the day its just an aggro deck with an explosive start or going for midrange with control/prison feel. Its aggro with tricks.

I've been playing welder mud for a while. I started with U/R staxish deck and ran welders, thought seize, academy ruins and magus of the bazaar with tanglewire and smokestack before I started net decking. It lost almost all matches and quickly went to just using red for welders. Since I didn't have the cash to run 4;wasteland I used 2wasteland 2 dust bowl and crucible of worlds since it had recurring tanglewire and stax. Attacking mana sounded fun. Since I was going nowhere with a prison style MUD. I started looking up aggro builds. The changes weren't to costly and I kept welder so I loved it. I did good every now-and-then but still had problems with consistancy. Mulls were brutal and card disadvantage blew with Metalworker. It felt like a one pump chump if you will. But I would continue to change it a bit. Right now I'm running this and its a lot of fun and consistent enough.

    LANDS 21
    4 darksteel citidal
    4 city of traitors
    4 ancient tomb
    4 mishra's factory
    2 dust bowl
    2 wasteland
    1 buried ruin
    CREATURES 21
    1 blightsteel colossus
    4 kuldotha forgemaster
    4 metalworker
    4 lodestone golem
    1 steel hellkite
    1 myr battlesphere
    1 phyrexian metamorph
    1 platinum emperion
    1 sundering Titan
    3 wurmcoil engine
    SPELLS 18
    4 grim monolith
    4 chalice of the void
    2 trinisphere
    1 mox diamond
    1 mox opal
    1 thran dynamo
    1 everflowing chalice
    1 thousand-year elixir
    1 staff of nin
    1 karn liberated
    1 lightning greaves

Karn is good for early restart if you have a winner(blightsteel) in your hand. And can also add pressure mid game. I actually like dust bowl now since I'm not running crucible since it makes city of traitors wasteland on its way out the door. The staff of nin can hit all these lil guys people run like deathrite shaman and delvers when your on the draw and can chalice for one soon enough and is you private howling mine. The factories were filler bc I have no caverns but helped for blocking or presented blockers. I love phyrexian metamorph, it copies both win pieces and disruptive pieces. Caverns will be added soon and ill probably drop a few things. But keeping your hand big and being prepared for mid game is better than going all out right now in my Meta. Thanks for reading...

The mono brown forgemaster deck made 9th at SCG Open last week. Not bad for an event like that. Cavern of souls is definitely a staple for mud whether you run welder or not. My Meta sees a lot of counterspells and even reanimator runs foil here. Im new here so idk the policy of links, but the deck ran a phyrexian metamorph, thran dynamo, staff of nin, thousand year elixir, and everflowing chalice(singletons).

Anyone ever consider running phyrexian tower? It can protect a robot from swords, its a sol land, also taps for 1colorless and can be used to recur a Titan or wurmcoil. It is a legendary but not too bad of a draw back.
