Very little interaction. Just a straight up value creature deck. Flood the board get damage in, finish the game with Nissa ultimate or either of your eldrazi.
as i stated the main issue is the mirror. Your gunna wreck most other matchups. I love drowner of hope. sick card. Torrential gearhulk is a fear but if u can stick Panharmonicon you can really get ahead
So it is obviously nearly an unwinnable g1 in the mirror but against nearly every other deck it simply outvalues in all ways. Insane card draw and Panharmonicon abuse to the maximum. I have been loving this list. Its based on Andrew Jessup's list but Countless Gears Renegade is trash imho and maining 3 Shock is great vs both the mirror and aggro decks.
Once you stick Panharmonicon the game ends. You don't really need combo to win you can use Felidar Guardian and Eldrazi Displacer to just drown your opponent in card advantage. Game 2 you have the choice of going all in on combo with a ton of counter spells. I am surprised andrew didn't include Fragmentize in the side as the deck has no answer to an opposing Authority of the Consuls.
Fragmentize also hits Aetherflux Reservoir Inspiring Statuary Heart of Kiran etc

- Authority of the Consuls one of if not the best answer to copy cat
- Obvious one is Sram, Senior Edificer but remember every red deck has Shock and every black deck has Fatal Push so how often is this surviving to turn 3?
-Fumigate , which kills Ornithoper and Sram, Senior Edificer
The main issue I see is game 1 you will lose to Copy cat probably 80-20 and game 2 how much of your pieces can you afford to side for counters?
Against creature decks and general midrange decks this mono blue deck can be insane with ridiculous draws and Engulf the Shore. Almost always winning turn 6
What have you guys found to be the best splash or is it not even worth? Sacrifice the Copy Cat matchup ?
every pro i read is under rating this. I can see the downsides in that he nonbos with Yaheeni's Expertise which would naturally go in a u/b or esper or grixis control shell with Liliana, The Last Hope
But he has pure buttsecks with Dynavolt spells and just a heavy blue control deck with Torrential Gearhulk and manlands as win cons
All three of those are super viable. I predict jeskai twin will be very popular so Authority of the Consuls is good main deck to further our game plan and shut down aggro and combo decks. Some combos the deck can do
The main limitation to this deck is opposing Spell Queller and lack of mana
Generally deck kills always on turn 6 sometimes on turn 5. But it is the consistancy that is nice. Multiple draw engine, White gives us hate cards like Fragmentize and Authority of the Consuls
I can also maybe see an argument for Spell Queller in here
Played Chen's 4 color list at game day. went 3-0-1 and then undefeated in top 8
Played R/W Vehicles, Bant Midrange, GB Delerium both in tourney and top 8.
I will say 2 things. Gideon to me is a staple at 3 in the main. He is just superrrr good atm and emblem alone has won me a ton of games. Secondly Cultivator's Caravan is a staple at 3. The card in insane in the mirror and just super strong against control. I found Scrapheap Scrounger to be kind of mediocre but needed for artifact count.
The 4 color deck or even just Mardu is just super fast. I killed before turn 5 almost every game. And if it went long Clues+Depala+Gideon was just too much.
grixis cant play gideon. I beleive my go to will be SB to the slaughter, 3 mained negates and potentially 1-2 path in the 75.
My meta has a good players that love using her...
Btw ive been playing control for a couple formats ( I got second at a pptq wth u/r eldrazi control) I can say Confirm Suspicions is amazing I used to play 2 in that u/r deck and it breaks close games wideeeeeee open.
Control vs midrange is attrition and both players usually are down to 1-2 cards.
Control vs aggro is whether you can stabalize
control vs control is who can stick/ protect win cons + who can all in first
so generally its only bad in the aggro matchup assuming you cant stabalize
I am actually wondering whether radiant flames is even worth it in the main, I often wish they were more counter spells...
I think you guys should be aware why control was so strong.
The key in my opinion is GB delerium didnt day 2 in great numbers. Green Black Delerium being a nightmare for control because of Liliana, The Last Hope She ults game 1 every time she hits on curve. She is recursion to get back threats.
Because lilly was barely used at the PT, control just molly whopped the field. The problem of course is that GB delerium auto loses to Temur Aetherworks almost always. So its going to be rock paper scissors with some aggro mixed in.
I think if you play control you should have to the slaughter and 4 negates in the 75. I agree with jwf239 in that Sphinx of the Final Word is very hard to beat barring Fumigate. Fevered Visions is really a meta call. My meta has alot of burn and aggro so I will pass.
I really really hate lilly tho so broken vs us....
The gatherer says you multiply original number by 4 then with 3 the original number multiplied by 8
So if I have two anointed processions and 2 hidden stockpiles and revolt I would get 8 servos?
And if I had 1 stockpile it would be 4 servos?

- Whir of Invention is insane. I feel like with the 12 0 mana drops both Whir of Invention and Reverse Engineer are busted
- Reverse Engineer staple 4 of. Drawing 3 cards on turn 2 or turn 3 felt amazing
- Engulf the Shore is the best sweeper. Crush of Tentacles felt too slow and Engulf can be done on end step which felt really good. Prarie Stream and Sunken hollow are island so splashing lightly is not an issue
- I am unsure of splashing another color
White -Benefits
- Authority of the Consuls one of if not the best answer to copy cat
- Obvious one is Sram, Senior Edificer but remember every red deck has Shock and every black deck has Fatal Push so how often is this surviving to turn 3?
-Fumigate , which kills Ornithoper and Sram, Senior Edificer
Black Benefits
- Contraband Kingpin which can be equipped with Bone saw or Cathar's Shield for defence
- Metalspinner's Puzzleknot for card draw and maybe better than Prophetic Prism vs control
- Herald of Anguish , double black seems impossible tho
- Fatal Push , revolting it seems very hard
The main issue I see is game 1 you will lose to Copy cat probably 80-20 and game 2 how much of your pieces can you afford to side for counters?

What have you guys found to be the best splash or is it not even worth? Sacrifice the Copy Cat matchup ?
But you need to think big, The real power cards in a deck like this are Sram's Expertise and Inspiring Statuary
You can tune a deck to get a potential turn 5 Ulamog, The Ceaseless Hunger with just the above mentioned cards and a turn 1 Thraben Inspector.
Consider that you can run the Trophy Mage engine for Aethersphere Harvester and Cultivator's Caravan and of course Inspiring Statuary and then throw in Prophetic Prism and now you have a serious engine
I was thinking 4 Ulamog, The Ceaseless Hunger and then 1 Kozilek, The Great Distorion out of the board. Then you use counter magic ie Metallic Rebuke + Confirm Suspicions and maybe Negate
I am liking the idea of Part The Waterveil as well
But he has pure buttsecks with Dynavolt spells and just a heavy blue control deck with Torrential Gearhulk and manlands as win cons
Just alot of value. Also can sort of combo with Scour the Laboratory
8 Island
6 Plains
4 Port Town
4 Prairie Stream
Artifacts (16)
4 Aetherflux Reservoir
4 Bone Saw
4 Cathar's Shield
4 Inspiring Statuary
2 Authority of the Consuls
Instants (8)
4 Metallic Rebuke
4 Paradoxical Outcome
Sorceries (5)
3 Baral's Expertise
2 Reverse Engineer
3 Glint-Nest Crane
4 Sram, Senior Edificer
Alright so this is a rough sketch. Cards missing Thraben Inspector Prophetic Prism Fumigate
All three of those are super viable. I predict jeskai twin will be very popular so Authority of the Consuls is good main deck to further our game plan and shut down aggro and combo decks. Some combos the deck can do
Sram, Senior Edificer + 0 mana equipment = free draws (allow for low land count)
Inspiring Statuary + 0 mana equipments and itself = 1 mana Paradoxical Outcome and 2 mana Baral's Expertise
Baral's Expertise -> combos into Aetherflux Reservoir
Inspiring Statuary + 2 artifacts = 2 mana Reverse Engineer
The main limitation to this deck is opposing Spell Queller and lack of mana
Generally deck kills always on turn 6 sometimes on turn 5. But it is the consistancy that is nice. Multiple draw engine, White gives us hate cards like Fragmentize and Authority of the Consuls
