@Desdenova, you seem to have missed a step (podding Fatestitcher into Body Double.) Also if you have another Forest, you can shortcut it a step by copying the Scryb Ranger w/ the Double.

@darren, My tentative list had Phantasmal Image and Temur Sabertooth, as well; not only are they great by themselves, there's an extremely convoluted chain that can be done involving them.. 'xD (You can ignore the part about Hulk targets, that was just an example I put when I'd made this..)

In case you can't make heads or tails of that picture (because I forgot to put a few arrows.. whoops):
Phantasmal copies Bellower to get the Krasis, you then pod the Bellower into Palinchron untapping Minamo (among other Lands,) you then bounce the Image w/ Sabertooth, and copy Palinchron to reset Minamo again, then pod the Sabertooth on up into Deadeye (Body Double=>Drake,) GG.

At that point you have infinite Mana, and can just Pod Deadeye into Hulk and Tutor your entire Deck (you have enough floating Mana that you can just take a Mana deficit to bounce Palinchron manually to reset Minamo for as many Pod uses as you want, so the "6 cmc or less" clause of Hulk doesn't mean much. ;P)

Granted, to start that combo you'd need a significant amount of Lands in play.. (You'd need 3 left in play after activating Quirion, though if you haven't used a Land Drop for the Turn you could just replay a bounced Forest.)

Phantasmal and palinchron alrd gave infinite mana lol

That's a complicated way for the hulk and requires lots of pcs in the deck.

Try this one, most of the pcs are useful on their own too
    1: volrath shapeshifter 3 + renegade doppelganger 2 + sidisi's faithful 1
    2: body double 5+ dreadnought 1-> sac 2 hulk
3: leveler 5 lab man 3 hapless researcher 1 (sylvan safekeeper 1 alchemist apprentice 2)
In the bracket are optional cards
Care to explain? Because this makes absolutely no sense to me...

The numbers behind the name are the cmc of those creatures.

Basically by grabbing those in 1, volrath shapeshifter will become hulk and u can sac it with faithful, grabbing body double as hulk and renegade will become hulk too and sac both with dreadnought grabbing things on 3 for the win.

I play 1 dryad arbor because it fixes land grant when you are going off from a brick into a creature when you need it to keep glimpse rollin', or it can cast you glimpse on T2. Sounds thin, but I have found it to be a good variance-reducer.

dryad arbor is not a spell, that doesnt work. Glimpse only triggers on casting creature spells.

What exactly does Ancient Stirrings provide in your deck? You don't really want to draw Emrakul, so that leaves you lands and Ornithopter, unless I'm missing something.

yep u're totally missing prism which is the actual target for turn 2 ramp when playing stirring turn 1.

Hmm, I haven't heard of "Duel Commander", but officially this rule doesn't change for 1v1 Commander games. If you're playing with unofficial rules anyway, then you may as well just make a house rule.

wutlol duel commander is 1v1, and not talking about unofficial rules, it's clearly stated in the official rule
"Second, in addition to the ability to put the Commander back into the Command Zone if it would go to the graveyard or be exiled, you may do so also if it would be put into your library."

It's seems... As if WoTc is actively trying to sabotage the Legacy format.. Why is it that when Commander comes out that we get two completely ridiculous cards that weren't even ment for the format.. I mean honestly, do any EDH players even play toxic deluge or TNN??? And wtf, Enchantress has been waiting for a new awesome card for like 3 years.. If any points should be made valid here it's that an enchantment based deck SHOULD have some decent cards to pull from an entire set (and possibly block) based off of enchantment usage.. That Legacy thing is just how I feel

As an EDH player I believe this person clearly never see/play competitive french EDH.

That is because Esper was considered the better deck until people figured out that UW is actually better. They didnt even wanted to make a UW/x section at that time.
And the mods dont seem to change the proven section even if its outdated. I mean Colossal Gruul is not a Tier 1 deck by far either.

They'll probably change it after BNG.

Agreed, I definitely want to remove lions and rampagers perhaps mystics too with only 6 untapped green sources on turn 1.
Perhaps exchanging Domri to Xenagos and add some more red for Anger and I will definitely play Advent of the Wurm as well

In my lgs FNM is rarely a t2 tournament, back then 1st time I went for FNM t2 (because it's cheaper than draft, I dont like buying boosters) since I'm playing EDH, I was using janky almost highlander Grixis Control deck with Homicidal Seclusion and Lone Revenant combo, also featuring Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker, Tamiyo, the Moon Sage and a bunch of other EDH-ish cards as 1 of haha.

Went to win all matches and split prizes at Final, since then I'm brewing more decks for T2 till now.

MBD can have multiple connections while u can't have multiple Chandra.
Red can't remove Demon without losing card advantage as well.

  • posted a message on Newbie Question - Why is Mutavault good??
I was playing a WBR Control Deck and all 5 game I lost were due to mutavaults, simply because right now in Standard some good removals are Sorcery speed (Chained to the Rocks, Mizzium Mortar, Dreadbore, Detention Sphere, etc)

And Mutavault is good after grinding cards and both players are in topdeck mode.
