Well, was this art spoiled? Because the most suspicious thing is that the other two had spoiled arts and spoiled names, so would be easy-ish to mock. Anyone know this art source?

Anyone know the source of these blurry/grainy cards?
I am completely new to Legacy but play modern/standard a lot. I play splinter twin or other combo in modern and really enjoy it, but I play all archetypes in standard (generic control, aggro, etc) and am not super tied. Money is a factor, but let's pretend it's not. What deck should I play? I will be in town for GP DC so I want to get in to the format before then (November) and get some practice. Any and all advice appreciated!
1) I can't find any more details either, but I will try to answer questions based on educated guesses and experience.
2) Usually the entry fee for Sealed GPs in the US is $40. This could change by a small amount.
3) GPTs give you byes for the main event, which make it easier to do well since you start off with that many wins. However, they are not required and most competitors will not have any byes.
4) Bring food/drink. It is usually every expensive to get these things on site. Bring any cards you want to sell, as there are always stores there looking to buy your singles. Bring cash for the main event, for side events, and for any cards you may want to buy. Bring sleeves, or buy them on site. This is a competitive level event on day 1, and professional if you make it to day 2. While not technically required, everyone will have sleeves, and they help you avoid marked card violations.
5) can't help you there...
Other advice: If you have never played a competitive level event before (GPT, PTQ, GP, or PT) then you may want to brush up on the rules. There are no take backs and you will live with your mistakes. In addition, a minority of players will be looking for you to make rules mistakes and try to 'get' you on these. These players are a minority, but be aware it can happen. It is also good to brush up on the format - you want to know every card in the block so that your opponent won't surprise you at all. You also will need to be registering your pool, then passing it, then registering your deck. If you don't know cards by heart, this can be painful.
Long time reader first time poster. I was hoping to get in to modern for the new FNMs and two PTQs/1 GP in my area coming up.
I like the idea of splinter twin a lot, but it seems so vulnerable to removal/hate games 2 and 3. Are there transformative sideboard versions that are good? I like blue control (faeries? UW?) but don't know any good lists. Would be up for almost anything though - I will have a month or two to practice and my metagame is very diverse, especially since I will be going to a GP.
I am currently playing WBG in standard - restoration angel, thragtusk, a little ramp and a little value. Have had fair success with it, winning a few local tournaments and usually doing well enough. The deck is tuned to an aggro heavy metagame.

I am brewing up and found the following:
Archangel of Thune
Fathom Mage
Horizon Chimera
Draw a card -> gain a life -> put a counter on all creatures including fathom mage -> draw a card -> profit
AND you can stop it (Fathom Mage is a may) so that you don't deck out.
Anyone else found cool ones?
