Is it me or we're having a really bad time against UR/Jeskai Delver? I played today against a friend of mine with my UR Twin and I was stomped.
If we don't see at least two Bolts or Remands in the first three turns we can just scoop and say goodbye.
Which creatures do you suggest to add? And what should I take out? The first cards to take out I think that could be Desertion and Rite of Replication but I don't know what to put in!
After some weeks of tweaking i made this list that does fairy well its job. Daxos and Reveillark are under testing but til now they went pretty well.
The swords package is fantastic, they made me close some games (a 8/9 Grand Arbiter is nasty).
I'm not really fond of Luminarch Ascension 's utility, it helped me in one game against Oloro but i don't know how to change it.
I will really appreciate suggestions and critics
I don't think that Sacred Mesa will net more than one card per turn... Ephara's ruling says that she triggers once, no matter how many creatures entered the battlefield. Maybe i'm wrong but I always draw one card even if I've played 2/3 creatures.
I still run a few enchantment tutors and Omniscience. Honestly, it's my only real win condition. The deck is proving to have serious problems with winning games. It is easy to stall, but tough to win, and that's proving to be an issue. I may have to re-include Enter the Infinite, just so I can close out games.
This is really true. Today I played two games with my friends (one used Riku and the other Jenara)and i found that was really hard to keep up the step with them. They ramped and started playing threats like Consecrated Sphinx, Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger or the Titans while I was still trying to build a board position. I didn't have a threat to put on the board and with Ephara always bounced with a buybacked Capsize, my hand composed by Saltskitter, Seht's tiger, Strionic Resonator, Stonecloaker and Trinket Mage was useless.
We also luck enchantment/artifact destruction beside Austere Command (for example the Jenara player landed a Birthing Pod and I wasn't able to deal with it).
I think I'm going to remove from the deck cards like Whitemane Lion, Dust Elemental, Pestermite, Scout's Warning, Sacred Mesa, Leyline of Anticipation and Resonator to make space for more powerful cards... when I understand how to replace those cards I will post my list.
P.S. I will try to find space for SoFaF and SoFaI!
Sorry, I misread the nickname in that post, I thought it was yours
Has anyone tried anyone of the Swords? I was thinking of adding Sword of Feast and Famine because of the untap effect and also because I think we really need something like Seedborn Muse as an effect like this permits more creature drops and consequently more draw power.
Last question of the post: is there a card that can, in white, grant us multiple battle phases like Aurelia or Relentless Assault?
Thanks for your response!
I have a question: have you removed the omniscence+academy rector "combo"? Was the fact that it was considered "unfair" the cause?
P.S. Sorry if i make mistakes but english/american is not my mother language
Can you update your decklist? I'm building this deck and i'm curious about the changes you made in these days
P.S. Do you really find Vedalken Orrey/Leyline of anticipation worth a slot? I often have them in hand and never find a moment in which i want them on the battlefield...
One week ago i started playtesting this deck (i really like strange generals like Patron!) and i have to say that this deck is really powerful but also entertaining. It's surprising how many times i won only because people undervalue Patron and the deck in general. The only changes i've made are:
- mana breach + cyclonic rift
- overwhelming intellect + curse of the swine
This changes are made because we really lack removals and in particular mass removals... When you have a bad start and people are starting crowding the board with creatures, you really hope to draw one of those two cards (if you don't have a tutor!) if you want to stay in the game longer!
I've also found that overwhelming intellect is too mana intensive for its effect and mana breach is useless if you find it in your starting hand and you have only one mana rock.
My meta is composed by: 2 Derevi - 1 Oloro - 1 Jhoira - 1 Marath - 1 Memnarch and 1 Mimeoplasm.
Sorry if i've made some errors but my english isn't perfect
Our drops are too high to justify Dark Confidant's addition. Necrologia is strong but at that point you can thing of adding necropotence instead!
In commander multiplayer show and tell is too risky: imagine it someone drops omniscence with it...
Warning issued for lack of explanation. -MadMage

No doubt she is the weakest minor god... a wasted mythic slot.
A wierd necrogenesis is not worth the mythic rarity.

Whenever another creature dies, scry 1. (Look at the top card of your library. You may put that card on the bottom of your library.)
B: Reaper of the Wild gains deathtouch until end of turn.
1G: Reaper of the Wild gains hexproof until end of turn.
