Nov 26, 2012Canada171 posted a message on G/R Aggro: Back to my rootsIm currently running a R/G aggro and for 1-3 turn I stick with 1-2 mana cost creatures, Strangleroot, Rakdos Cackler, and Arbor Elf. Im doing 6-12 damage on turn 3 plus instant and sorceries if needed. Arbor Elf allows for the drop of Hellrider on turn 3 as opposed to turn 4 which adds at least 4 damage on turn 3. I think you should run at least 3 hellriders. Im planning on running 3 Mizzium Mortars for board wipes with the overload. Arbor Elves allow for turn 4-5 overload if need be. Dont run Vexing Devil IMO, its unreliable and not having a creature can cause serious trouble for R/G Aggro. The highest cost for my R/G is 4 (its 6 if you count the mizzium overload.)Posted in: bearsman6 Blog

I know I'm not running any Huntmasters or Liliana's. Its because I want something different than all of the other jund decks out there right now. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, let me know what you think!
Entreat the Angels is an "X" mana card...But yet you still run it?

That is brilliant. Ive never played modern so I dont have much knowledge as to the stronger cards of the format. I will probably cut out batterskull.
Great idea, thank you. Although I will toss Geist out. Possibly running some more evasive creatures. I didnt think about it until now but I can play Tricks of the Trade. Put in a few 1 cmc creatures possibly to help the cost and enchanting to Tricks of the Trade could do something...Gladecover Scout with a couple swords might do a thing or two???
True...I dont think Ill run Ethereal. I doubt I can get my hands on some Geists so what are some alternatives?

I just thought of this today...I don't know how it will work out let me know if there are any other better replacements. I though about Kessig Wolf Run and splashing red for it, but I dont know if its worth it. Hopefully someone better than me could make some improvements and test is a bit. thanks for help in advance.
PS. If there are any major cards I have looked over feel free to let me know.
I run two thundermaw and two silverhearts in my aggro. Anything more than 2-4 of a 5 drop card is clunky and more often than not uncastable. Thragtusk doesnt belong in a fast deck. If you absolutely cant give it up then run it. But other than that side it against a deck that may be a bit faster than yours
