  • posted a message on How do you play more than 1 land per turn?
I was reading the Return to Ravnica FAQ in this forum and saw this statement:

    Quote from FAQ »
    * If more than one of these lands are entering the battlefield at the same time, you’ll decide whether to pay 2 life for each one individually, then put them all onto the battlefield. For example, if you have 3 life and two Hallowed Fountains are entering the battlefield at the same time, you could pay 2 life for only one of them, not both.

I'm still just getting back into Magic (started buying with Return to Ravnica), so I'm confused by this. I thought land cards were limited to 1 per turn. How could you play more than one?

I bought 2 alpha decks when it first came out. My fiancee (at the time) didn't like the "evil" feel of black mana, so when we got married, I just gave them away to one of the local guys. I think I had 2 black lotus (one in each deck). Not sure what other of the P9 I had.

Thanks again. I realized tonight when we were playing the "unbonded" restriction.

Thanks for the answers so far everyone. Just wanting to get some clarification on a couple of points.

I have a drake in play. Then I play a creature with soulbond and bond with the drake. Then I play a separate creature with soulbond...can I soulbond that one with the drake as well? Lets assume it is a different soulbond from the first.

I'm cool with the clarification on clone just copying the card text of what it clones. So when I played clone, I could clone one of the creatures with soulbond and have it bond with something else? Am I understanding that right?

If I have 3 creatures on the table, 2 of them have soulbonds with the 3rd, if I cast clone and clone the 3rd, does it have both soulbonds? If it does, what happens if one of the 1st two dies? Does it lose the soulbond, or would it keep it?

Please use cardtags in the future. ~parinoid

It's a different animal from what I remember, but pretty fun and quick to pick up so far. When I last played, Mana Burn was a legitimate way to kill an opponent. Interesting to see things working differently now.

    Hey folks,

Mainly play RPGs and some wargames, but my RPG group has decided to step into Magic for the times when others aren't available. Some of us have played before, some folks are new to it. I played back when Beta came out, then had an off and on relationship with it since. Aside from a Slivers deck I kept, everything I've gotten has been since Ascension.

Looking forward to being a member of the community.
