- I have a thing about Angels
- My favorite guild is Boros
- It's actually a decent card...dies to removal as so many other good creatures do but the effect is pretty amazing

Could you (or anyone else) give a brief sideboarding plan? I'm looking to pick this deck up. I'd really appreciate it!
Cool! I'll check out the podcast tonight.
Sorry about your luck - did you happen to play vs Marvel or RG Pummeler?
Also, does anyone have any sideboarding guide/tips for Marvel / Zombies / RG Pummeler / Vehicles?
1) I don't see Mox Opal being banned, especially this update, considering that a) Death's Shadow is by far the "biggest" deck and b) Affinity doesn't have a strikingly large share of the meta
2) Mox Opal is possibly the most important card in the deck. I don't see Affinity remaining Tier 1 without it, but it'll still be decent
Thank you! I've been wondering - what exactly are Whipflare and Blood Moon (I've seen many lists with it) for? I've seen that Moon is good vs Titanshift and meh against Tron.
I've wanted to buy into Affinity for years (since I started during Mirrodin, really), could someone please recommend some good primers or something?
Also, what kind of sideboard cards should I plan on getting? I don't know the meta I'm going to, but I guess I'd like to have a solid base against Burn, Shadow, Eldrazi, and Tron. Thanks!
I actually haven't played against control yet. The guy who helped me build this deck suggested I feign a weak start and then launch a blowout when they tap out. For example, if they tap out on turn 4, I can Advent on end step, then swing with it and Boros Charm + Ghor-Clan it for a nice 9/9 double striking trampler. Assuming good draws and mana, of course.
I considered Mistcutter over Skylasher in the board. Skylasher is really only for Mono Blue which has dropped sharply in my meta.
Brimaz isn't doing much work, honestly. He doesn't feel like a $30 card. I never get more than one or two kittens out at once. I can't say that he's a plus for the deck, but I'm not sure what would be as good as him.
On a personal note, my list won FNM last night (my first ever win!). Got pretty lucky to get there, though... Round 1 was a bye, Round 2 was vs GR Monsters, and Round 3 was against Mono Black splashing white.
4 Fleecemane Lion
4 Voice of Resurgence
3 Boros Reckoner
3 Brimaz, King of Oreskos
4 Ghor-Clan Rampager
2 Xenagos, God of Revels
Spells (16)
2 Mizzium Mortars
4 Boros Charm
4 Selesnya Charm
4 Advent of the Wurm
2 Ajani, Caller of the Pride
1 Forest
2 Plains
4 Sacred Foundry
4 Temple of Triumph
4 Temple Garden
3 Temple of Plenty
4 Stomping Ground
2 Temple of Abandon
2 Imposing Sovereign
2 Mizzium Mortars
2 Skullcrack
3 Skylasher
3 Sundering Growth
3 Unflinching Courage
I've decided to take my first step into Modern with this list, as budget as it gets:
4 Keldon Marauders
4 Rakdos Cackler
4 Spark Elemental
3 Shock
4 Lava Spike
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Rift Bolt
4 Searing Blaze
4 Shard Volley
Sideboard is yet to be created. Need to grab Goblin Guide, Vexing Devil, and a couple other things to pump this project up.
I lost 1-2 in top 4 against a white weenie heroic deck. Of course, for me, countered spells wasn't the problem. Not drawing a single white source any of the three games was. Chained, Charm, and Helix sure are nice when they can be played. Still, really happy with the deck so far. It's 13-2 in matches (that count) in the past two weeks, so I guess I can't complain.
EDIT: Where can I find results/lists for GP Melb?
4 Satyr Firedancer
4 Guttersnipe
4 Spellheart Chimera
Planeswalkers (2)
2 Chandra, Pyromaster
Burn (16)
2 Searing Blood
2 Turn/Burn
4 Lightning Strike
4 Magma Jet
4 Skullcrack
2 Cyclonic Rift
2 Gorgon's Head (or 2 Searing Blood)
4 Dissolve
Lands (22)
4 Izzet Guildgate
4 Steam Vents
6 Island
8 Mountain
Also, why the Firedrinker Satyrs?
So I'm not really sure what place this list is in right now. It has a killer MU against MBD but feels really weak to aggro.
