It's a good card, but it simply discards. Nearly every other card that plays well with Sphinx's Tutelage allows you to draw giving you card advantage in the process.
Since spoiler talk has been lifted, what does everyone think could be added to this deck? There are more cards than I originally thought there would be that this deck could benefit from.
I'm a long time on and off Magic player, but I've never been interested in the story until they started their new story design philosophy in Origins. I have a few questions hopefully someone can answer for me.
1) Can I get started with the Origins stories and just read the Archive Trap articles to get background of important information?
2) Does everything after Origins, excluding Commander 2015, pertain to the current story direction?
Apologies if this isn't the correct form to post in.
I was thinking about post-rotation, and a ton of the core cards in standard are rotating out. I've never played competitively during a rotation, and I was curious as to what people think will be the most used expansions after rotation.
As mentioned earlier, Kozilek's Return and Flaying Tendrils will wreck this deck. Since 12+ cards in this deck have only 1 toughness, Abzan Ascendancy probably isn't a good fit. The more I look at possible outcomes, I think that Make a Stand is going to be a crucial card in this deck, or at least in the SD.
